Since I haven't had an opportunity to use them yet I can't rate the durability but melamine has a pretty good reputation overall. Very nice looking and heavyweight plates and bowls. If I can update this review down the road - literally, lol - I will let you know how the wear.

Says not to use in microwave… my children have used them in the microwave but it has not damaged them we do was them in the dishwasher and so far so good cute rustic look and have held up through the abuse of my family lol

I ordered 3 sets and looked at a ton of reviews on different wood looking melamine plates. These exceeded my expectations and arrived quickly with no chipping, breaking, etc. Very happy with the purchase. These are heavy duty than other plates I've looked at and the wood grain doesn't look cheap. I was worried I wouldn't like the bowls bc they aren't wood grain on the inside but they look great.(I haven't washed them yet, but they look great and don't anticipate any issues as long as they are handwashed like recommended.)

Melamine has changed for the better since back in the day! These are sturdy and much thicker than I expected. I wanted a rustic look with good sized bowls and I was not disappointed.

Some of the bowls have turned green, rather than remaining brown, in the inside. Besides that, they are beautiful and I greatly prefer this bowl style over the usual basin style.
