My grandson loved this

This is a really good book for young minds. It's full of information which is presented in a simplistic, engaging and thoughtful way.My son, who is 10, is possibly at the older end of the scale for this book but he has really enjoyed it. Anything that will keep a child engaged in something other than their screen is a win for me.

A very good introduction to life, covering: what is life?, how did life start and evolve?, what do we know about plants and animals?, and what is the history of studying life? The books is well suited to the 8+ age group, but with enough information to satisfy teenage readers. The mix of paragraphs, comic strips, charts and illustrations, makes the topic easy to access, and has kept my child's interest.

Firstly I love the busy layout of this book, lots of illustrations, colours, fonts and each bit of info is set apart in it own box/bubble similar to a comic book style. There's so much in this book it's absolutely brilliant, easy to read segments and the smaller paragraphs of info tend to stick in your mind as well. Highly recommend this

Such a fantastic book covering a wide range of topics in a humorous and educational way. My daughter is able to retain so many more facts when she reads them in this way. They also have these great easy and simple activities that the child can do that are loosely related to the topic. A really great book!

This is a fantastic picture book. It’s got an absolute ton of information in it and every double page has so much to read and absorb it will keep many children entertained. I have a 7 to14 year-olds in my house and all of them can get something from this book. Even I’m learning something!It’s beautiful quality and is not a book you’re going to finish reading in one night.I’m really pleased with it and it would make a lovely gift as well. Very happy to recommend this. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this book. It will also keep even the most educational friendly parent happy is Christmas. I would definitely get this as a gift for one of my friend’s children.

If you want your child to be clued-up about the organisms which which he or she shares this planet, this is a 'must buy'. It introduces most of the major groups of living things which everyone should know about. Well done to the author, clearly a wonderful and original communicator.

Really interesting illustrations and overall a really great book. This book is full of information and great pictures that would be suitable for a child age 6+. It tells you all about how there are living things all around you no matter where you are in the world. Great book that my children really enjoyed working through And have learnt a lot from
