PASTEL and CHARCOAL ARTISTS, BUY THIS, IS BETTER THAN PERMIUM PASTEL PAPER, GO TO HOME DEPOT BECAUSE...
PASTEL and CHARCOAL ARTISTS, BUY THIS, IS BETTER THAN PREMIUM PASTEL PAPER!!! GO TO HOME DEPOT BECAUSE you can get sandpaper for pennies on the dollar next to buying basically sandpaper for pastel and charcoal mediums when drawing/painting. The tooth on this stuff is so fine I think even coloured pencils and graphite could be used on the most finest. You get:Including 2 sheets of each grit: 800/ 1000/ 1200/ 1500/ 2000/ 2500/ 3000, total 14 sheetsThey are only 11" X 14" but I would assume you can get this in larger sizes at a home depot or lowes, or order it from somewhere.NO MORE $40 Sandpaper for me!!! If you need it to be sturdier, just mount it on thick cardstock, really! I just thought that there has GOT to be a cheaper way, and I found it. Some of it feels just like velvet/velour smooth paper. I paid a redculous amount of money for 800 grit art paper for pastels and i actually like this stuff better and it is the SAME THICKNESS!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY at art stores, go to Home Depot!!!

Cheap sandpaper for cheap prep on cheap cars! Not 3M quality but it gets the job done.
Works good for wet sanding and prepping headlight jobs on older cars if you need to get the job done cheap. I did work on a 2000's Chrysler and Kia with nasty, yellowed and pitted headlights, using 800, 1500, 2500, and 3000 grits, lots of soapy water. Then polished them with a Porter Cable dual action polisher, 3" pads, and Meguiar's Ultra Cut Compound to remove haze. This sandpaper worked well for this kind of job simply because it was cheap, but if you are working on a better car and want the best quality go with the more expensive 3M sandpaper. On my newer cars (Lexus, Toyota, Subaru) I used 3M 3000 grit sandpaper and got much more consistent results with it.

Large variety
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This package has a nice array of sandpaper. As you can see in my brief video, it has two of each grit making 14 pieces in all. The grits are 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000. They are all 9 by 11 inches but can be cut down in size to whatever you need. So if you are working on a smaller piece or project, you can cut off what you need and save the rest for another time.My boyfriend tinkers around with woodworking in his spare time and although he hasn’t had a chance to use them, he knows a nice set when he sees them and he says this is up to par with any other brand he’s purchased before in the past.If anything should change after actual use, I will come back and edit this review as necessary. In the meantime, this is a nice variety pack for beginners or professionals alike. I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review.

but the sandpaper itself works just fine and nothing has "fallen off" or anything like that
Not particularily a big issue but once you open the bag / leave it open the sandpaper will curl in on itself. (I just needed 4~5" squares for a sheet sander so not a big deal for ME. But I can see this being a negative. I do not know if this is a side effect of the coating process or lack of quality, but the sandpaper itself works just fine and nothing has "fallen off" or anything like that.

I found the 3M sand paper to have a finer texture and feeling to the touch
I compared the 3000 grit paper from this off brand manufacturer with a 1000 grit 3M wet/dry product. I found the 3M sand paper to have a finer texture and feeling to the touch, the paper backing is also sturdier and after doing some sanding with both the off brand fell apart a sooner than the 3M. I know this is not a scientific test but I definitively would never buy this product again. Once again you get what you pay for, stick to quality over quantity.

Cheap lousy sand paper.
This cheap lousy sandpaper. Falls apart immedately if it gets within 3 feet of water. Bought this to wet sand an acrylic aquarium. I gave up trying to use this after going through 5 sheets in the same number of minutes.

this did wonders for my hazy headlights!
my old ml320 headlight lenses were looking pretty scummy. hit them both with this combo sandpaper and voila, all is bright on the night highways again! extra pro tip. wipe them down with some brass-o and you've got the magic touch!

Good price for a 'hard to come by' grit level.
I've been using these sheets for a few weeks now and they are amazing - great quality for the price.I'm restoring an old vintage axe and have taken it from completely covered in rust to a mirror shine with just a few bits of sandpaper, a wire wheel and polishing compound.I was planning to just sand the steel down to 600 grit which was clean but dull silver. Once you go 800 grit or above, that's where the mirror finish comes in and if you finish up with polishing compound (i'm using Silverline 107874 White Polishing Compound 500 g ), you get what I would describe as a 'polished chrome' finish. The size of the sheets are pretty standard - I have been cutting them down and using with a sanding block. The paper is good quality and I have not noticed any rips/tears that you get with cheap sand paper. One weird thing I noticed was that the 1000 grit seemed to dull more than the 800, yet when I moved onto the 1200 grit, it shined up again.Overall a great purchase and would recommend to anyone doing restoration. Good for the novice to try
It's been years since I've been in woodshop class, but I remembered using extra-fine sandpaper to make the wood really smooth to the touch. I wasn't sure what grit to get so I decided to get this pack. It comes in an assortment of large square sheets that you'll likely have to cut if you're using an automotive sander or sanding block. If you're like me and have no idea what you're looking for, the answer is probably the 800 grit. The rest of the pack seemed way too smooth to be able to do anything (unless you're willing to go through the process of using every sheet in the pack until it makes sense to use the 3,000), but it's a learning process and I'm glad that I now know.

waste of time
poor quality , the paper is far to hard and breaks readily so then altho it goes up to 3000p sandpaper is will make deep scratches on your piece I was trying to fix some perspex and this caused me many hours of wasted time I retuned the product but that is not really the point this product is not of a decent quality and I want to stop other from wasting there time and money on their inferior productI sent it back for refund but has to sand the perspex down all over again next time I used thisWet and Dry Sandpaper Mixed Grits 240/600/1000/1500/2000 10 sheets 2 per grit 230 x 280mm Waterproof Paper Highest Quality STARCKE MATADORand altho I would have preferred it to go up to 3000 I was very pleased with its proper quality doesn't fall apart and scratch the surface much much betterdon't waste your time don't get this product

Good Abrasive Sheets
I didn't buy this stuff for abrading a bit of work but instead to help me sharpen my hand plane irons. I use a combination of abrasive sheet, wet stones and oil stones depending upon the makeup of the blade. For my bum basic O1 steels I use paper and an oil stone and it works brilliantly. This goes all the way up to 3000 grit and you can get a pretty good edge with it at that level. I stick these down on a old bit of granite worktop and I can really get a good finish fairly quickly. Sometimes I might not bother with the wetstone or oil stone to avoid the mess if I'm just getting an edge for a bit of rough planing and these abrasive sheets work really well for that.Good price and quick delivery.

Value for money
Quite thick so easy to wrap around a sanding block. Grit as advertised , gives a lovely finish.
