El objetivo principal de cambiar mi infraestructura de red en casa era extenderla desde un departamento en PB hasta un Roof Garden 4 pisos arriba, y ¡funcionó!El extensor de la red en malla Velop es el último eslabón de la instalación en el roof garden aproximadamente 12m de distancia en vertical más 6 m en horizontal.La configuración inicial la hice cerca del nodo principal y luego la coloqué en su lugar definitivo. Es una instalación relativamente sencilla. En mi caso tuve dificultades, sin embargo, el soporte técnico de Linksys fue muy bueno y accesible.En general, a una semana de haber cambiado la infraestructura de red, se ha comportado estable, la cobertura en toda la casa se logró y el monitoreo por medio de la app también ha sido muy bueno.

Good deal for a 3-pack mesh router
Seeing the low price for the 3-pack (dual/tri-band) combo set made me wonder if something is wrong with the device.Have been using it for over month now, so far it has worked very well, except one day when the connection seemed poor, but that was probably coz of my ISP.The installation was breeze. Was apprehensive how the WiFi smart switches will connect as the default SSID for 2.4G and 5G is same. Thankfully, all the Wifi switches connected flawlessly to the Velop mesh system. One trick to use the same SSID/pwd that was configured with the older router worked well.Some people have commented whether it is possible to have different SSID for 2.4G and 5G networks, thankfully it is possible. However I do not see the need to do that. Everything seems to be working well.Long story short, if you find a good price deal on this mesh router, go ahead and grab it. Have noticed bestbuy and other online outlets selling for much higher.

Simple Installation, but setting multiple SSIDs is a must for best performance
An absolute piece of cake to set up. The quick start guide and the app are all you need and I had the three-node system up and running in about 20 - 30 minutes (even allowing for firmware updates and so on).The only downside is that when you configure your wireless network using the app both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks have the same network name / SSID. What this meant in practical terms was that a lot of my wireless devices would connect to the 2.4 GHz network and this resulted in very poor throughput / performance, especially for streaming media such as Hulu and Netflix.The solution is to use the web interface and to set different network names / SSID for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. Now only my thermostats connect to the slower 2.4 GHz network with everything else connecting to the 5 GHz network and getting the throughput and performance I'd expect.Admittedly it's only been a few days since I installed my Velop system but initial impressions are very positive!
