The Sad Ghost Club: Book 1

I was lucky to get a copy of Sad Ghosts Club by Lize Meddings and published by Hatchette via Netgalley I was so excited. I was having trouble reading this on my Kindle so I decided that I would get hold of Physical copy as I really really wanted to read it. There was something special about this graphic novel. I wasn't sure what it was but I knew it had an important message. I loved that the drawings were black and white I don't think it would of worked because the subject matter was about anxiety. As a sufferer of Anxiety I found myself in the characters of Socks and SG and know how alone you feel but when you talk to a fellow sufferer you finally realise that there are people just like you and there were people who could understand you even though their anxiety may differ to yours. I particularly liked the resources at the back of the book. I believe there is going to be a follow up and I will be buying it I am dying to find out what happens to Socks and SG and for all these reasons I am giving The Sad Ghost Club 4 stars

Read it all in one go. Can definitely relate to these fellow ghosties. Lovely artwork and equally lovely story. This book would make a great gift for someone who needs some support and to let them know that they're not alone. I have been following The Sad Ghost Club for a while now and I love how everything Lize Meddings have written and drawn relate to so many of us going through mental health issues. Thank you and I look forward to more books from this author.

Beautifully illustrated, and feels like a very accurate portrayal of Sad Ghost Club Members. I have bought they’re merch before but it’s nice to have a full story. I look forward to adding any future books to my selves. I’ll be dipping back into this book from time to time ❤️

really cute book!! i really love the story and how relatable the characters are… it’s sweet and reassuring :) the only thing that’s a minor problem is that when the book arrived there was a little bit of plastic peeling off the book (shown in the pictures). i’m still very happy with my purchase though and i’ll just tape the plastic down later!! 👻💗
