Great quality

Used this tube for while as replacement for Sunlight heavy duty (Kenda), and I'm impressed with the quality/price. Valve stem is threaded metal and long enough for ease of attaching pump fitting. Going to buy another for a spare, as this one has held the correct tire pressure for about 6 months in all kinds of weather.

Bought these as replacements for our Schwinn Tandem bike. Compared to the original tires, these seem very high quality (Continental has a very good reputation). I plan on use slime in the tubes to help prevent small leaks, but overall I think they will give us thousands of more miles out of our tandem!

I purchase these specifically due to having the threaded, metal valve stem and being from a name brand manufacturer. The price is reasonable for the quality and these are now my standard tubes on a street bike and a mountain bike. One caveat during installation- leave the nut on the valve very loose until AFTER the tube is filled with air and THEN snug down the nut. I installed one tube with the nut snugged down tightly BEFORE adding air and the tube blew-out immediately after inflation and pushing the tire away from the rim. Lesson learned...

My neighbor is a professional bicycle mechanic and recommended Contis along with one other brand. These tubes have a thicker wall than the ones I was replacing and should be a good match for the occasional trail riding that I do. While any rubber tube will become weak over time, I expect that these will outlast what I've been experiencing with cheaper brands. I will report back in a year with any observations.
