Very Disappointed. - Poor quality and low volume. I can not recomend this product and have returned it.
I liked the idea that this was designed to work with my Bose Noise Canceling Headphones model (Quitecomfort 15). I connected them to my iPhone 4 and found that the connector did not snap in like the one from Bose. I have used my Bose headphones with my phone without any issues and the sound quality is excellent but I had to use the mic on the phone. This was the reason I purchased this product so I could use my phone hands free. I made two calls to two different people and both complained they could not hear me well and that the volume was very low. I tried to adjust the volume using the control on the cable with the product but the up-down volume had not impact on the actual volume. Both the volume in my headset and the mic volume. I believe this could be a good product and is a great idea but needs to go back to R&D and get the issue resolved before bringing it to market. From the other reviews it appears others are experiencing the same problem. I can not recommend this product.

Worked great for 6 months.
I purchased this microphone last December and used it daily until recently when the sound quality has dropped so significantly that it is no longer usable.I really liked it even though the boom is flimsy as others has reported. So for $30 it lasts for 6 months. I find using my Bose headphones so useful in my noisy office that I will likely take a chance on ordering anther pair and hope that they last longer than the first pair.

Best microphone for QC15 owners. Period.
I couldn't be happier with this microphone. I work in a large and noisy office space. This mic allows me to conduct voice calls and record screencasts with minimal background noise. I tried several other microphones, including the Bose QC15 inline remote and microphone cable, and none of them worked as well as the Clear Mic.- Works perfectly with my Mac Pro, iPad, and iPhone.- Sound quality is excellent- The cord is thin and doesn't get in my way- Microphone stays in place and doesn't flop around like some cheaper products

Good, not great... Don't believe the haters, but don't drink the kool-aid either
Works as advertised. It's not "amazing"; but who would expect that for only $29.99?Pro's: Works well and picked up my speech clearly on multiple airline flights using a regular voice.Con's: wire is 1 gauge to small, it would be a little sturdier with a slightly thicker one...The plastic around the 1/8" jack is kinda wide and doesn't fit into the plug on a smartphone with a protective case.I would buy one again if necessary, it ain't perfect... but I didn't pay enough for "perfect", I paid enough for "useful".

Works great with my iPhone. Zero complaints. [UPDATED: Found an issue using it with the iPhone 6]
I bought this direct from Headset Buddy and am very happy with it.I read the negative reviews before purchasing, so I was ready to be disappointed, but after using it, I just don't understand the complaints, as mine works perfectly fine.I did various test calls with noises in my office and found that the mic worked great, with very little background noise being picked up.Just like the Bose headphones themselves, the noise cancellation is best for constant or relatively non-intrusive noises, particularly those that are not in the normal voice frequency range. The noise cancellation is great for filtering out a leaf blower or lawn mower outside, or server fans in a data center, but terrible for a crying baby sitting next to you at an airport or loud voices in the background.I have had zero issues with feedback, buzz, or other audio issues when using the mic with my iPhone. The only limitation I've found is that I cannot use this with my Panasonic cordless phone at home. For some reason, the Panasonic phones produce a loud "amplifier buzz" sound. I tried with 3 different models of Panasonic phones, and 2 out of 3 were unusable, while 1 was barely usable. Since the mic works perfectly fine with my iPhone, it's something about the cordless phone. The boom is highly adjustable and does not move at all for me once I position it. The boom can only be bent in a limited radius--it doesn't bend at 90 degree angles, but it is more than adequate for me to get the mic anywhere I want near my mouth, cheek, or chin. Zero issues. I don't understand the complaints about the mic flopping down or not staying in position. The jack that plugs into the Bose headphones is not a perfect fit--the plastic isn't flush and the connector isn't as snug as I would like, but it's not a major issue. If the cord gets pulled, it can pull the mic out of the Bose headphones, but I have only had it happen once. The benefit is that if the cord gets yanked, it will pop out and should reduce damage to the cord or the headphone plug. The cord is thinner than the Bose inline mic cord, but who cares? Could they have used a larger wire? Sure. Maybe a heavier cord would make it more durable, but the cord works fine, and isn't much different than typical headphone wires. If you peel open the cord for iPhone earbuds, most of the cable is comprised of the plastic sheath--the wires inside are thinner than thread (literally--they are like fine hairs). So the Clear Mic cord really isn't that thin.Overall, I'm perfectly happy with the mic. I've taken many calls on my iPhone with it, and it has worked flawlessly. Yesterday I took a call while waiting at the noisy gate at the airport. Worked great, the caller could hear me just fine.UPDATE: December 2014: After using this headset lightly for about a month, I found that the headphone jack that plugs into my iPhone is either damaged or poor quality. I accidentally pushed on the jack while on a call and it disconnected the call. Apparently the jack has a poor connection to the phone and when it loses the connection during a call, it hangs up the call. After this happened twice, I stopped using the headset. While I really like the headset, it does seem that there is a quality or durability issue. Some have complained that it is relatively expensive, but I would pay $20 additional, or more, for a higher quality version of this headset. If Bose made a version of this for $70 that was high quality and durable, I would buy it.UPDATE 2: February 2015: I e-mailed Long Tail Products / Headset Buddy and explained the problem with the headset disconnecting if I moved the jack while using it with my iPhone 6. I shipped the headset back to them and they sent me two replacement headsets. (They were responsive and had very good customer service.) Unfortunately, the new headsets have the same issue with my iPhone 6. So it likely wasn't a damaged headset jack in the unit I returned..I then tested the standard Bose QC 15 microphone / cord, and that works fine with my iPhone 6, along with the standard Apple headphones. So the problem doesn't seem to be with my iPhone 6.But strangely, I tested the Headset Buddy on my wife's iPhone 5S and it worked fine. So whatever the problem is, it seems to be with the combination of Headset Buddy Clear Mic with my iPhone 6. Perhaps the jack is slightly out of spec or there is something about the electronic / electrical properties of the ClearMic that the iPhone 6 doesn't like. I will have to find someone else who has an iPhone 6 and test the ClearMic on their phone to see if it is just my iPhone 6, or all iPhone 6 phones that have the issue.Whatever the cause, the end result is that I'm unable to use the Headset Buddy Clear Mic with my iPhone 6, so I now have two of them sitting in my office. I'm bummed, since I really liked it.Again, given the price of the Bose QuietComfort headphones, I would now gladly pay a lot more than $30 for a high quality noise cancelling boom microphone.

Waste of time and money
Waste of both time and money. Poor quality, sound noise cancelling function.Mic will not even stay in position so must hold to keep in place.

Disappointed
On Apple products it was okay. However, I feel the Bose inline mic has superior sound quality. Didn't try to hard to judge how effective the noise canceling is.I'm disappointed because I didn't buy this to use with a Mac, I bought it to use with a PC. I plugged it into a signal splitter and plugged the mic and headphone jacks into their appropriate terminals. In order to get the mic to register any sound I had to blast the mic boost up to +30db, and at that level there was so much white noise it sounded terrible.Could be a mobo or driver issue, but the mic would cause a slew of crazy whistles and beeps until I pushed the mute button repeatedly. Eventually the noises calmed down and the mic would function, however poorly, way too quiet. Tried using different ports, front vs. back. Tried using software to filter out white noise but keep the gain up enough for it to be useful. No luck.Someone needs to make a similar product designed for PC's, with signals already split and no inline volume/mute buttons.

Five Stars
I purchased this so I could use my Bose QC15 for gaming (Xbox one) and phone calls. Works well.
