[2 Pack] 10Gtek 10Gb SFP+ RJ45 Transceiver, 10GBase-T CAT6a Module 30-Meter

Runs hot but I believe that's normal for these things, I'm using it for my Ubiquti DR7 to free up a LAN port. This 10gbe variant is no doubt overkill for an rj45 cable but, I figured it leaves lots of head room for future upgrades and getting 2.5gb down an ethernet cable in a few years probably won't be much of a stretch, I also figured if a 10gbe unit isn't running at 100% it would run cooler, but I'm not sure this logic panned out as it's very hot. But most importantly for this has added no noticeable latency to my connection, it around 8ms prior and checking the logs on my router now my ping for the past 24hrs has been 7-8ms... And researching transceivers seems to suggest it adds nanoseconds worth of latency which doesn't even register on an ms scale. So all in all, happy with my purchase and freeing up an ethernet port on my router in the process.

Fully compatible with UniFi devices - budget but fully effective

I have used 10Gtek products before specially their DAC cables and they all work. This SFP to Rj45 just works even with Unifi however, it does run quite hot so be careful.

I'm using it in my Mikrotik RB5009UG+S+ router. I tried several modules, the most of them are crazy hot (80 C) in case of 10Gbps operation. This one has rock solid 60-65 C temperature. (I have SFP-10G-T vendor version 2).

Product1 10Gtek 30M - This product is overheating like nothing I've ever seen. This module is reaching temperatures above 85 degree during idling. Returned and bought 10Gtek Sfp+ 10Gbe 80M Doesn’t overheat and works perfectly fine with my Unifi Cloud Fiber. Superb

I would give this zero stars if possible.The build quality is poor. During attempted removal, the gold release mechanism snapped off entirely, leaving the module permanently stuck in my switch. To make matters worse, it even sheared off my Ethernet cable's retention clip. 0/0

I bought these as part of my upgrade to my home network to go in my mikrotik CRS309-1G-8S+IN. They work fine, and show up as vendor: OEM part number: SFP-10G-T revision: 02 type: 850nm multi-mode fiber it shows the temperature, voltage, tx bias, tx power and rx power. note: these transceivers only work at 1/10Gbit, I unfortunately assumed these would work at 2.5 too, in this case they'll default to 10... while I didn't have any major issues, although this may cause issues in some cases. Unfortunately, one of the two transceivers broke within a couple of weeks of use, where initially it kept turning on and off every 10 seconds, now it just doesn't show up at all.

I’m using these with UniFi and to link switches and the are rock solid. There is a warning that they get warm but they get no hotter than Cisco sfp+ modules and the price is unbelievable They deliver the speeds promised and totally reliable
