To be fair, I've only used these once on a 5 mile hike in snow and ice covered roads, hence I can't yet justify 5 stars. You can pay a lot more for crampons that are possibly better quality, but I figured that unless I'm living in somewhere like Canada, these would do. I'm likely only going to need them 3 or 4 times a year max. They performed well during that 5 mile hike and showed no signs of damage, so I have a good feeling they'll be good enough when required. I'm normally in the "buy cheap buy twice" camp but maybe these are an exception to that rule.

These were great in the recent cold weather. I live on top of a hill and found it impossible to walk down safely in normal shoes in the icy conditions These were a god send, they gripped the ice and made walking a breeze. Admittedly, they don't look great, but they do the job perfectly. I would say that some reviews mention that the straps don't fit, but if you look at the instructions of how to fit them, they do fit.The only reason I gave 4 stars was because I received two left feet, but that didn't seem to make a difference.

This is the second type of ice grips I have bought. These ones fitted very well to my size 9 walking boots. They feel very secure on my boots. More importantly they are great for grip and even walking on solid ice they dig in and give you grip. I would recommend these. You have to be aware that you can't walk in the house with these as they will ruin your floor. So you have to put your boots on at the door. These are possible to fit with your boots on but easier when they are off your feet.

Arrived promptly. Tried them out today on a very icy walk on frozen grass in our local woods and they were amazing! Didn't slip once. Felt very secure when walking. Would definitely recommend.

These were great on the ice during the recent heavy snow. Good fit on the boots and never moved or needed readjusted.

Myself and 5 others brought these for climbing Ben Nevis in late April to cope with the compacted snow and Ice at the top. We all agreed these were essential and great value. They were easy to put on & gave great confidence underfoot.

I wasn’t expecting these to last but they are great I’ve bought 3 more sets for my friend and my sons.Very good for the money..

I disliked nothing and liked everything! I will use this product for hiking in Scotland at Easter
