I bought these as a deterrent for mice and the thought was they would be stronger than the pure oil.. no. it's not . I diluted in water and the instant smell is strong but fades really quick. (5 min) it's not a peppermint smell, it's definitely menthol. at a less than a handful of them diluted into typical Lowe's bottle , it will solidify back to hard be aware

I was advised by a friend to purchase this product for the flu season. The crystals help a lot with congestion. Just need a very small piece, because it is too strong. It will relieve congestion for about 2 hours, which is great when the flu hits you.

This product is magical. I have a very bad cough and tried every product (cough drops, cough syrups, Puffers, meds). Just trying it once and my chest felt so much clearer. My lungs do not hurt as much and my cough is significantly decreased. I placed a few pieces (half a teaspoon worth) in one litre of boiling water. Stirred. And then inhaled the vapours (steaming). You need very little of this product. Too much and it will burn your eyes. It is very strong. If you are steaming, you will see the liquid solidifying after an hour. Use the solid pieces as a vicks vapo rub. Again a little goes a long way. Such a good product! I wish i had tried steaming a long time ago.
