VOCCA - Smart Lights - Voice Activated Lights Adapter

The package says not to use it for bulbs using over thirty watts, but thanks to LED bulbs I have bright, warm lights everywhere in my house and none of them uses over ten watts, so for anyone not using old-fashioned incandescent bulbs, this product works. My video describes a problem with it, which is that like most light bulb add-ons, it's not made for traditionally styled lamps or most recessed fixtures. In my case, I got around this by putting the lampshade on top of the bulb, something you can't do with old-style incandescent bulbs because of their fragility and the heat they generate. Yes, you might have to say "Go Vocca Light" more than once to activate it, but I've found that seven out of ten times it works on the first try. I use crutches to get around and navigating in darkness is unsafe with them. Also, I don't want to have to carry a smart phone with me everywhere I go or have smart speakers all over the house. I recommend this product.

Love it so much I ordered two more! Instead of trying to figure out smart plugs and Alexa and apps and search for my cell phone and on and on…. screw this into your lamp, put a bulb of your choice in it and you’re done. It fits nearly all shades. It’s only as wide a a light bulb. Just say “go vocca light” (yeah, a bit corny) and the light turns on. Same phrase turns it off. No more climbing out of bed to turn off the lamp after reading. Order multiple ones! You’ll want more than one.

This is not a perfect item. it occasionally goes off or turns on from a voice on the TV, but it works pretty good and and is very convenient.

I bought this for my elderly mother so that she was not try to get out of bed at night to turn off her light. It did take a little bit of time for her to get used to it but it became very useful. I liked it so much that I bought one for myself.

Well...I am giving the Vocca 3 stars because it did work, but I must have missed the part of the product description that says it shouldn't be used with a bulb over 30 watts. That info appears on the bottom of the packaging, where I almost missed it. It also didn't work with the lamp I intended it for, because the harp and shade won't fit over a bulb + Vocca. I am keeping it for some future use, probably in a floor lamp with a low wattage bulb pointing upward.

I use it in my bedroom light, used to use a remote light but this works so much better. I can turn on my light from my bed so it is easier to get up to use my wheelchair and get to the bathroom.

Did not work! Only would work once the lamp shade was removed and then it did not work all the time. Would not recommend this product to anyone!

Oh my gosh, love using this VOCCA light! When its time to go to sleep or walk into a room this is so useful. I feel a little lazy using it but it works great everytime. Go VOCCA Light!
