This camera does exactly what I needed, to be able to see if my cat has eaten or not. The picture is clear, the audio is fine and the view is quite wide. The only quibble I have is I wish it was wireless, as you're beholden to where your outlets are. I would like to buy another, but I need to figure out where to put it and what outlet it can use. Other than that, it was easy to set up, I have never had an issue with the app, it's a perfect little camera, excellent value, especially for the price.

I like these pet cams, I have two and I prepaid for the yearly subscription. This review goes in depth of the subscription services Pet Cube offers and my personal experience with these cameras and the subscription. The premium plan, I just want you to keep in mind that if you are planning on getting this camera.. you’ll probably want to pay that $170 CAD for the yearly fee, or pay $15 a month for premium care. Because if you only buy JUST the camera you are only allowed to watch LIVE video streaming. Nothing is recorded, you can’t share anything, no alerts, no online vet care, etc. It explains more on their website. But when I bought one camera I started with the “Optimal Plan” for $4.99 a month. Well I wanted to add a second camera so I ordered a second, BUT in order to add a second camera and for it to record, and alert me you have to pay $15 a month or $170 for the year. I said screw it and did the $170 for the year, now I can have unlimited cameras and unlimited service I guess which is nice. BUT my point is… $60 for the camera… plus $170 for the service per year. Otherwise this camera isn’t really worth it in my opinion. To ONLY have access to JUST live feed is .. not worth $60. But to each their own I guess. The pet cube app works really well, which is should for $170 a year… phh.. anyways, it works great. It notifies me when motion or sound is detected (you can change this in each cameras settings). It has decent (but not great) two way communication. It works decent enough to have a conversation with family, and i’ve been told the microphone quality on the receiving end is decent but not great. All in all, the app is easy to navigate, works great, has cool features. The quality of the camera is good, and I think these pet cams are great to keep track of your pets and also for security purposes. Overall Pet Cube is good, I really appreciate the features you do get with these cameras and the premium plan. I do think at the end of the day, $170 for the year isn’t too bad. But I just wanted to write a review clarifying that it’s best just to buy maybe two cameras and the yearly premium plan if you can splurge for it. It’s just totally worth it in the end. I think I wasn’t thinking clearly when I purchased one camera and the “optimal plan”. It’s just much better to invest in the premium plan and two or more cameras. Now that I have this premium plan I’ll probably buy one or two more cameras eventually.
