Have it on a 30ft above ground. Doesn't come with an on/off switch. But working good. Used 300lbs of pool filter sand from menards.

Shipping was fast and filter/pump arrived undamaged. Very easy to set up. I’m impressed with how quiet and efficient this filter and pump works. Much better than my previous sand filter and pump that didn’t really do the job well enough for my 24’ pool. Excellent product!

The pump and filter are good except it arrived first with a crack in the pump housing and now has a crack in the strainer housing right around the lower ring/seam. I tried to email Doheny but haven’t received a response. This is the 19”/1HP combo unit. Disappointed but it’s in use and full of sand so sending the unit back won’t work and I can’t get Doheny to even give me the part to order as a replacement!

I have no issues.....just as described...well worth the money....happy on every level!!

So far I like this product and it works like it should. When I received this item it was missing a large O ring. I called customer service and gave them the exact part number. 5 days later I received a totally different O ring. I called customer service again explaining my issue, after being on hold forever while she tried to figure out what I needed since their part numbers are different then what is in their manual, I was told the correct part was on the way. 5 days later I got the correct part and all is well now.

This is replacing a 26 year old doughboy sand filter for 12x24 above ground pool. As stated in other reviews the instructions are horrible. Checked out video via google and helped. The filter was pretty easy for husband and me to put together. When we ran it first time you could see the ripple effect in pool and is much better than our ancient one! It’s powered by a Hayward pump. Very pleased so far- only time will tell if it can duplicate the old one! 26 years! I think we got our moneys worth!

The media could not be loaded.  The filter itself is amazing. Did wonders for my Coleman pool. Instructions are awful. Thank goodness for you tube. Also, the pressure gauge leaks and has condensation on the inside. I called the company and they said they did not sell only the pressure gauge and that I would have to send the entire thing back. After putting 100lbs of sand in it and throwing the box away. It seemed to be more hassle than it was worth. So we rigged it up the best we could.

This pump has been a great replacement for the original Summer Waves pool pump. Easy hook up and go installation (I chose to cut out the upper mount for the original pump impeller). Now I can just drop the vacuum hose into the bottom of the old inlet and vacuum power is great! So much easier to backwash weekly than to clean/replace filters daily. Use my Feit Electric Christmas light wifi controller to control/schedule pump from my smartphone. (FYI... cheap pool filter sand at Home Depot; works good)
