I was afraid that an XL martini glass would be the equivalent of those wine glasses that hold half a bottle. Nope. The XL seems to be the same size as what you would get in an upscale bar. As with all Riedel glasses, the quality is impeccable, and the simple design is elegant. Although they are labeled as dishwasher-safe, I wash mine by hand, simply because I don’t want to take a chance. These feel great in the hand. Although the crystal is not as thin as with some martini glasses, it’s not thick, either, ensuring both durability and elegance.

My wife and I like martinis and manhattans, so I wanted to get her some elegant crystal martini glasses for her birthday. After reading all the reviews, I selected these “Riedel Vinum XL Martini Glasses.” They were the most classic crystal glasses I could find without unnecessary decoration or goofy stems. The design is just right, with a thin stem and a sturdy bowl. The glasses are noticeably heavy—much heavier than the cheap martini glasses we had been using, but not as light and airy as handmade crystal. These Reidel Vinum series glasses promise to be less breakable, which is good. At this price, I don’t want to replace them anytime soon! I like the size; they hold a double easily enough, without being “novelty size” like too many modern martini glasses. My wife loved them, and we are pleased with them overall. We have definitely put these glasses to the test!

I really like all Riedel products and will continue to buy and use them. The problem is that when I ordered the 2 glasses, one of the glasses arrived broken. Amazon refunded me immediately, which is just very much appreciated. Thank you very much. And of course, I immediately ordered another one.

What do you want, they're Riedel! I've been drinking from Riedel glasses for years. I clumsily tipped one over and to the floor. Yes the stem shattered, but I was able to fill the bowl and finish my martini. Now I have two more. These are a shot larger than the one I broke. All the better.

Bought them to make dirty martini and cosmopolitan. Perfect size for those. As you know, never fell then up for better sipping. Elegant glass, delicate Christal just make sure to have good space to store.
