I saw a youtube review on this that liked it. I'd seen these before and wanted to try one because I hate mincing garlic. I love this thing. And while I've only used this half a dozen times, I would buy another one if it broke tomorrow.

We cook with garlic a lot, like really a lot. We decided to keep track once and we used almost 2,500 cloves of garlic in less than a year. I stumbled across this little gem while scrolling around the internet and figured it was worth the try for as cheap as it is. We ordered it last October and it is still going strong. It does an amazing job of finely chopping garlic and you can even get it to do a coarser or finer chop depending on how many times you roll it back and forth. It makes super quick work of finely chopping raw garlic. You could buy pre-minced garlic in a jar but, if you've ever tried that, you know that it is not nearly as fragrant or pungent as fresh raw garlic and it's more expensive. This gets you quick and easy minced garlic without sacrificing flavor. Cleaning it isn't difficult, but garlic becomes a little sticky when cut up and this is no different. It takes a few minutes of rinsing under the faucet to get all the little pieces of garlic out from the blade grooves and other places the garlic makes its way into. Having said that, if you aren't as lazy as I am, cleaning this with a small brush (like a tooth brush or one of those skinny brushes you use to clean steel drink straws) would probably make it quicker and easier. If you like minced garlic and don't want to deal with the hassle of hand mincing it, this is for you.

A little hard to get bits out

You’ll never go back to chopping garlic. I use this every time I need to minced garlic. It’s so easy to use and easy to clean! My whole family has one!

I love garlic, and we eat a lot of it. Like, A LOT. Vampires will never attack us, I’m pretty sure there is a measurable amount of garlic in our blood At almost any given time. So, over time, I have tried almost every garlic press, chopper, diced, etc. that I can find. And this one is the BEST. Just put your peeled garlic cloves inside, run the little wheels on the counter a few times, and VOILA! Diced garlic, no mess, no stress. You can make it more fine by running it back and forth more times. I use a butter knife to get it all out, then usually refill it and chop it and throw it in a baggie in the fridge so it’s ready for next time. It rinses out easily and you can even throw it on the top rack of the dishwasher with the little wings open to clean it. I’ve given several of these to my garlic loving friends and every one of them has raved about it. I did have my very first one get a chip in the “wing” after about 2 years, but to be fair I had banged it on the counter repeatedly to get the extra little garlic bits out. So I take responsibility for that, and at this price point I just ordered another one that’s still going strong.

This will be the third one of these I've gotten. They work great, mincing into nice little pieces. However. They are kind of a bear to clean. And I've broken 2 of them. My hands are arthritic so I've got limited strength so I'm guessing they're a little flimsy. But they seem better than the write-ups on any of the other styles.

I bought this as a gift for someone who loves to cook and loves garlic. We haven't used it yet but I think he will use it a lot. It's cute to look at and will be very time saving for him.

Brilliant and arrived early

Simple cutting of garlic and shallots, easy and fast.

It does every thing I want, however the cover on the roller is already breaking down and coming off.
