Buy Multiplication Games - 180 Days of Math, Art & Logic Fun: Do It Yourself Homeschooling (Fun-Schooling With Thinking Tree Books - Homeschooling Math) on desertcart.com ✓ FREE SHIPPING on qualified orders Review: Perfect for kids struggling with times tables! - The repetition a struggling learner needs with lots of fun added in! My “I hate math” child has been doing this journal a couple of times a week alongside Math Craft and I am seeing big results! She went from counting on her fingers for everything and barely being able to do basic math to knowing most of her Times Tables with confidence and is even doing better with division. Review: Multiplication review done with beauty - We use this in conjunction with our daily math assignments. This book offers daily repetition of of the times tables along with a "logic game." The logic games require paying attention to details and thinking about the possible patterns to complete the games. There is also opportunity to color. It is a fairly relaxing and engaging way to review math facts and have some "down time" (while coloring) for your child's brain to process the information. The same times tables are done every day, which students (or parents) may find boring (for lack of a better word), but I feel like it gives my child the chance to review the math facts in a non-stressful way. The illustrations in the book are not visual "twaddle" (as you would find in many "activity books" geared towards children) and shows that kids can handle and thrive with more sophisticated illustrations. It is also worth it to invest in a set (or two or three) of quality colored pencils and gel pens, especially a nice smooth flowing black pen/marker for the logic games. My child has a greater sense of pride and ownership while using our "special art supplies" as we also consider the usage of these books like an art form.

Multiplication Facts have never been so easy to grasp !
My girls , ages 10 and 12, were having some issues in memorization of their Multiplication tables. We have tried flash card drills, worksheets from workbooks but neither seemed to help. They are strong in other areas of math, but when it comes to multiplication tables, they have some weaknesses. I found the Multiplication Games workbook by Sarah Janisse Brown and it is AMAZING ! The book is filled with Multiplication tables on multiple pages alongside multiplication logic puzzle pages that really get your child thinking. I have my girls work in their books each day and fill out 2 pages at least - one multiplication facts table and one logic puzzle. This book is a great supplement to have and works well alongside our regular math program. My girls are now stronger in their Multiplication Facts and it is all thanks to this wonderful book. Multiplication Facts have now never been so easy to grasp !

Good for learning the multiplication table
Good book, just wish some of the logic stuff dame with a key. I wanted to make sure she was doing it correctly and there was no way of checking it. Good for learning the multiplication table though. I like that it has brain breaks as well

Love it
This is not just rote memorization. The multiplication grids are teaching my kids to skip count and problem solve in order to figure out the answer to the ones they don’t know. I much prefer this simple set up to xtra math or flash cards. It’s independent. No loose worksheets for me to keep track of. It’s not super fun, but works so well!! Yes you could make your own, but this will last us a whole year and has a pretty cover. The days of logic puzzles I use as a reminder to play math facts that stick games with them or listen to musical multiplication. One less thing for me to remember.

Very repetitive and expensive
Based on reviews, I was really hopeful that this would be a fun, engaging multiplication book for my daughter. But after buying the book, I'm honestly confused at the glowing reviews from so many!! At least half of the book is the same page (a fill-in multiplication table--pictured in some of the other reviews). My daughter loves puzzles so she did enjoy many of the other pages, although some of them were confusing for her. I probably wouldn't bother leaving a negative review except that this book is so outrageously expensive! Had the price been in the 10-12 range, I wouldn't have felt compelled to share my opinion with others, but at $25-$29 (I think I paid $29--ugh) I hope I can save some of you some money! I would not have purchased this book had I been able to see it first.

Great for kids with dyslexia
This books has helped my twins with multiplication more than anything else. They both have dyslexia and are very creative and artistic, but struggle greatly in recalling facts. While they haven't liked filling in the multiplication table every time, they can now see the benefit of doing it after 3 weeks. They have only done it 3 times per week, and it's getting cemented in their brains. In the beginning, I would fill in all the multiples of 3, for example, and they would fill in the rest. I also allowed them to use a multiplication table for reference. Now, one doesn't need to refer to it at all and the other is looking at it less as he fills out the table. The games and activities on the pages following each multiplication table are what they really like completing. We are definitely going to get some of the other Thinking Tree journals.

Helping my 12year old in multiplication
I bought this for my darling 12 year old. She has yet to master her multiplication facts. She has had a difficult time with reading and math. This is how I stumbled across this company. Anyways I have tried numerous products and books and still her math facts aren't sticking. Thus book consists of half the book is fill in a facts chart and the other half is brain games. Can see why some would get frustrated by purchasing a book and half of it it the same page over and over. But for my daughter I think it may actually be what she needs. She needs the repetition and then the beain games force her to focus and complete the task. She has used it for a week now. She hasn't gotten the whole table down yet but she seems to like the book. Other things would frustrate her and she would end up in tears. Below are some pages she has completed, as well as some that are yet to be done.
