The chalkboards are great. They are very generous in size and have enough substance to them that they'r easy to write on and easy to hang. I used them at my son's birthday party to label the drinks, garbage cans, be direction signs.... they looked great and worked even better. I used the VersaChalk markers on them for the party and going forward I wouldn't recommend using them again on these boards (unless you want them be one time use only) as the markers left horrible ghost images on the boards that are going to be permanent but the boards are SO great that I'll happily buy more to replace the ones the markers ruined. They're also going to make great gift tags for the extra large gifts. Please note I received this product at a discount in exchange for an unbiased review. (And then bought more of them at regular price because I was so impressed with them.)

Two of the six chalkboards would not accept chalk. I had to press really hard to get to write it on the three I was able to use. Since I wanted to be able to use these over and over, I used chalk instead of liquid chalk markers. I still have one board to use so I don't know if that is going to work.I really don't want to use chalk markers, but will if I have to do so.

They’re a little flimsy, but they’re perfect for my office- my coworkers also loved them too. I used a dry erase marker too and it cleaned off easily!

These are a lot larger than I thought they would be - my bad for not fully reading the dimensions. I really like them though and with standard chalk they are very easy to reuse. I have found that if you are going to use the chalk pens, that it does not erase well. The burlap cord is very sturdy! I have replaced the burlap cord with ribbon on some of them and they look adorable! These are very sturdy!

Used on front door to say "come on in" since the party was in the backyard and I couldn't be at the door waiting for guests to come to the door.

They are perfect for organizing my pantry. I used chalkboard markers. The chalk wipes off with with a wet paper towel. The twine can be tied to different lengths. I bought a second pack to finish my organizational projects.

These are well made. I bought them to use during my school's civil war day in the Classroom Reenactment. They are fairly small but they will work great for the students to pretend they are back in a one-room classroom taking notes on slate.

Perhaps I missed it, but these don't work well with chalk markers. I was hoping to re-use them - not an option.
