Change The World
What a wonderful and motivating concept! Gift what you’re finished using and ask your community for what you need. I joined the local Buy Nothing facebook group about 1 year ago and it has been an amazing gift to my household. We’ve been able to give a lot because we have too much. We also asked for some things - for example when my crockpot broke - I was gifted a much better one. I asked for a mortar and pestle and someone gifted me a beautiful large granite one. This is definitely a win win philosophy! The book clarifies the winning attitudes. Love it!

Inspirational
Thought-provoking book about how we can help our environment/planet and ourselves at the same time. Now more than ever we need to connect with our neighbors and cut down on consumption. I love the backstory to how the authors were inspired to start this movement as well as the stories of other cultures and their Buy Nothing economies. It’s a must-read for everyone. Would make an excellent graduation gift.

What a nifty book!
Honestly, I love all the ideas and exercises in this book. They are just....make sense. I like that this book gives sustainable lifestyle changes that are super easy to implement. Only only complaint is that I book a used book that had a huge sticker that said it was an "Advanced Copy- NOT FOR RESALE".......I think if the seller had actually read the book they would have passed it along instead of selling it.

The Buy Nothing, Get Everything Plan
An excellent Guidebook for understanding the "Buy Nothing Project"Join and give where you live; Give ~ Receive ~ Lend ~ Share and Show Gratitude in hyper-local gift economies, where the true wealth is the connections between real neighbors. I joined a neighborhood group and have found great pleasure in giving / sharing what I no longer use or need. Pass it on!

Great ideas and Philosophy
I love the useful ideas and overall philosophy to apply to daily living.I confess to not following every suggestion, but we should all read this and aim toward these goals to be sensitive to the earth and avoiding wastefulness.

disappointing
might be okay if you know nothing about buy nothing ideas and principles but otherwise, very disappointing. Very simply written, obvious ideas for giving, recycling. Wish I hadn't spent money on it. Get it from the library if you must
