Uses German 12 tone notation and Jianpo notation
You need to be familiar with German 12 tone notation that is slightly different from what is used in America. You need to google and understand Jianpo (simple) music notation the songs are written in.

90% Identical content to books 1 + 2 in the series: How to play the Dizi: Basic + Advanced skills
This book is in A4 format, compared to books 1+2 of the series which are in A5.It contains all the text from books 1+2 but arranged differently. And all the etudes. But it does NOT contain the sheet music for grades 1+2 (book 1) and grades 3+4 (book2) of the mainland Chinese conservatory examination syllabus. Instead it has the sheet music for "10 most famous dizi tunes". But except for one, which is grade 4, they are all too advanced for a beginner to try. Books 1+2 are better for learners as they contain tunes that are appropriate for learners through grades 1 to 4. And after having covered grade 4 one is better served by buying the two examination syllabus books for grade 1-6 and grade 7-10 than this book which does not prepare the learner for any of the grade 1 - 10 examinations.I am sending it back because it is basically a reprint of books 1 + 2 minus the learner tunes.

Ottimo libro per imparare I dizi...
Simplice e Chiara...

Buono per avere un'idea generale
Ci sono molti dettagli tecnici sul Dizi. Molto utili e interessanti.Il libro però non è sufficiente per imparare a suonare le basi del Dizi. Ci sono molte descrizioni tecniche sugli spartiti, il fiato e la posizione della bocca ma rimangono degli argomenti accademici e poco pratici.
