awesome little laptop
Homeschooling my 8year old.like any boy his age he is rough with stuff and this little laptop has taken a beating for sure.but it keeps on going! runs everything we need it to, he really enjoys taking pictures and this loads up his photos and he can do a little editing with them and has fun doing so.it is also grate because it has a nice battery life so when we go on long trips he is able to do some schoolwork and watch some movies while we drive. if this one ever has an issue would buy another for its replacement in a heartbeat.

This is good for learning coding
I got this for my grandson to learn coding on, and it works well and is built very tough.

This is a great little machine for travel and outdoor activities!
I am a longtime user of Windows laptops, Android phones, and Amazon Fire tablets. In the planning stages of an international vacation, I decided that I did not want to take a large laptop, nor did I want to use only a phone or tablet for web browsing and communications. This small, ruggedized, and relatively inexpensive Chromebook seemed like the perfect solution for my travel needs, which fall mostly into the categories of casual web browsing for travel and weather information, and the use of Google apps (maps, email, online voice and video comms, file storage). Getting it running was extremely easy, and Wi-Fi and processing power seem perfectly adequate for my needs. Storage is sufficient to accommodate pdf versions of my travel guides and maps for offline use. The charger will work internationally with an inexpensive adapter, and will fast charge our phones as well. This has been a great tech experience with no regrets so far. (I must disclose that I am receiving a warranty extension from ASUS for my feedback. That said, I take my Amazon reviews very seriously. I will report back if I encounter any issues before or during the holiday trip.)

Excellent computer
I bought this laptop refurbished as a backup for my primary (and increasingly unreliable) older Windows laptop. I have had nothing but good experiences with ASUS laptops.Pros: 1) Easy to use for most apps out of the box; 2) Adaptive options (I need visual adaptations); 3) Chrome OS is stable; Excellent camera for video calls (I didn't have to balance this laptop on a box.); 4) fast and no hang ups.Cons:1) Not all Android apps work on the Chrome OS. Microsoft 365 apps can only be used in the online versions which lack some functionality, although Microsoft has recently added features; 2) Initially, the computer wouldn't let me log in. I had to reset the operating system to be able to initially log in; 3) the computer is very sensitive to the strength of your wi-fi network. If you want to use Microsoft 365 apps on this computer, don't install OneDrive or any MS Word related extensions for the Chrome browser. Any of these will prevent MS 365 apps from running online. All in all, an excellent general purpose laptop.

Factory warranty is BS and the notebook stopped working within 8 months
This Item stopped working and when I went to use the manufacturers warranty it said it was no longer valid. I bought the product brand new less than a year ago from Amazon, so I called to challenge the warranty status and they told me the notebook was reported stolen and that voided the warranty. I provided them with my invoice to show I purchased it. So, apparently I was sold a stolen unit. Also they said the unit is out of warranty no matter what because I bought it through Amazon as a third party.

Speedy and very durable
Bought for my10 year old Autistic son it's survived drops and small spills. Great little Chromebook. Long lasting charge, Asus did a good job with this affordable Chromebook. It's ease of use and amount of memory make it a great value. Definitely rugged.

So nice I bought it twice
I bought this laptop because my kids needed something they could do homework on. My 9yo is extremely rough with everything, so I had my doubts this would survive 6 months in my home. I am happy to report our first one lasted a year before it dropped while charging and the charging port broke. The cost to repair wasn't worth it so I bought a new one instead and it's just as tough. My kids have dropped it, stepped on it, eaten over the keys, spilled water on the table next to it, and this is still going strong. I will gladly buy a 3rd when the time comes (hopefully not too soon).

Used laptop with some else’s profile
I received a used Chromebook that had someone else’s password protected profile on it. This is very unprofessional. Overall the Chromebook is decent but does have a cheap feel to it. It would be fine for kids to do school work but that is about it.
