The Text Publishing Company War I Finally Won

Genuinely the first book has been a favoured for years, read it dozens of time, only just now got around to getting the sequel and it’s so worth it.

Having read the 1st book of this short series, "The War that Saved My Life", I was excited to find that the new book is every bit as good - perhaps even better - than the first. Kimberly Brubaker Bradley is an extremely talented writer with the ability to embody her lead character's emotional and psychological qualities in her voicings while also delivering important social commentaries without being preachy, opinionated or leading. The books are listed as children's books and I, in fact, was made aware of both of them through my 9 year old granddaughter and her Mom. However, the writing and story line is so compelling that I was totally captivated by both books and simply could not put them down. I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys good writing, good characters and a quality reading experience.

I received it JUST IN TIME to gift it to my dearest friend on Valentine's. Perfect. The book itself arrived in perfect shape, of course. As for the story, I can't think of a better one to hook young people into reading and historical drama.
