Alien Draft Seal Set of 49 Feet Anti-Draft Adhesive and Flexible Flap to Seal Gaps Around Doors and Windows As Seen On TV

Excellent product!! Shipping took a while but once it finally got here it works well!! The door on the landing to the garage has always let in a steady stream of cold air! Not any more! I put one strip on the length of the door, the draft stopped and the landing is warm again!! And so very easy to install, just be sure to clean the surface first as it is sticky tape!! I see in the one star reviews most because it doesn't stick. This was very sticky, I cleaned the surface with dawn, dried it, and held pressure for 30 seconds. It stuck fine to a painted metal door... Also keep in mind, this stops the drafts, it is not insulation and doesn't stop heat/cold from coming in. So if it is 100 degrees outside and the Anti-Draft Seal is the only thing between outside and inside, that tape will be 100 degrees and show HOT on FLIR camera. Because, as advertised, it stops the drafts, the hot or cold air from coming in... This is the day of arrival so if it doesn't last I'll be back for editing!! however it feels like silicone so it should take a few years to crack.

Easy to install and really helps reduce drafts around doors and windows. The adhesive holds well and the flexible seal fits nicely into gaps. Noticeable difference in keeping rooms warmer and cutting down on cold air.

The stuff is the real deal, it made a nice airtight seal on my doors. No more drafts.. This stuff WORKS. I gave 4 stars because I wish corners were easier with the product. Alien Seal would be a perfect product if they work out how to handle corners without needing to get overly creative on the consumers part.

I was very pleased that this product " Alien Tape Draft Seal " was delivered on time, is well packaged, and comes with storage envelopes to store any leftover tape or if you decide to remove it and reuse later you can store it that way to, just roll the strips back up and put them in. save the box and envelopes though. Item is as described It states it is 64 feet of tape on the package, I didn't measure it, but there is enough tape to do a min of three doors per box,or a min five or more windows depending on window size, mine are average size if that helps.. and makes a big difference when used around drafty doors and windows. It may be cold outside,but it's toasty warm in here. Equally during the summer it prevents your AC unit from pulling in hot air around windows and doors.Installation is easy. make sure you clean your door or window first, I used alcohol wipes on mine and it sticks perfectly. You can use it around the entire door and even create a door sweep with it if you don't already have one, I do but none the less it is possible. On the backside of the door , if you notch at the top and bottom of the hinge pin it will lay flat above and below the hinge. That being said,I have noticed when you open and close the door the tape on the back side where the hinges are has a tendency to tuck itself between the door and frame, it pulls out easily and will lay flat again if you open the door a crack and straighten it, Otherwise product works as advertised and is a great value for the price, especially considering the cost of energy these days and the extra savings you will realize from using this product. I would highly recommend this product and this vendor.

I could not find anything to seal the varying gaps around my wooden doors. It was either too thick to allow the door to close or didn't fill the gap. I finally started putting painters tape over the gaps all the way around the door in the coldest months. But this is so much better! It sticks like painters tape on one side, very easy to remove or adjust. But stays on well. I've had it on the doors for months, it's almost invisible, and I plan to leave it on year round. Along the bottom of the doors and the sides with drafty gaps. It's the perfect solution!

Wow! I am impressed! Everything As Seen on TV, supposedly works perfect. And I was skeptical, I'm not going to lie. The temperature change with this tape on and off is like night and day. I had a very large gap in my front door especially at the bottom. I have tried everything and nothing was working. I was still feeling the freezing cold air coming through. But this alien tape, oh my goodness it is perfect!!! I can barely feel any air at all coming through now. With this teeny, tiny little "silicone flap." It is durable and the adhesive is very strong. Very easy to install & easy instructions. I was even able to cut around the flap to adjust it to my curtain.Rod hooks and it still works perfect. Excellent value for my money. I'm glad that I bought 3 rolls! And according to the instructions, it is reusable. So this will be like a lifetime supply for me! Hands down five stars!

All of these types of products are flawed. I went with this one because it had the overall best ratings, and in reviewing the 1-star ratings - it all boils down to adhesion issues, which could be related to various things. This product's flexibility is oddly exceptional. If your seal isn't flexible enough, it won't work. This is like a perfect balance, and it appears (so far) to remain flexible. We haven't had the full 'cold' season yet, so I'll update this review. I'm 24 hrs into the installation, and it normalized the temperatures in my apartment. It doesn't adhere so well that it would strip off paint. (one of the catch-22s). I cleaned the surface around my metal door with alcohol (70%) as surface prep. If I owned this property, I would have primed the edge with a 'bonding primer', which would solve most of the adhesion issues I read about. Diana, my partner, talked me out of doing that. (laugh) The gaps in my door are ridiculous, and the managers didn't follow through with replacing/fixing the door in the spring, even after a reminder. It's 2023, and our world is what it is. It mounted easily and I think it will hold just fine. I decided to use blue-painter's tape (the Dollar Store variety), to add additional support/adhesion. I think that will work fine for the winter, and easily removable when we leave this apartment complex. It is aesthetically weird, but this is about function for us. The tape itself is clear and almost invisible, so I think it would work fine without the added reinforcement, and if the adhesion were to become a problem, the quality of the material reflects I'd be able to use another level of adhesion. I suspect this seal would provide years of service. If I had a wood door, or other type of material, looking at using some kind of primer that is appropriate for adhesion would be a consideration. Then again, if you have an expensive door, there should be a weather striping mechanism that makes this solution not needed. Regardless, I wish I would have thought of (or found this) years ago. I am very pleased with it, and I am certain it will serve the purpose. It has already proved itself in the first 24 hours. I would not have anticipated the level of impact it had on normalizing the temperatures/comfort in our living space. Not having this has probably cost us hundreds of dollars of heat/cooling expenses, not to mention the discomfort of dealing with a poorly sealed door situation. Highly recommend this brand, I would buy it again (it is on my list). The package comes with more than enough for two standard types of doors. I only have one door, so, I'll be ready for the future!!

Easy installation. Lots of product so you can use it on multiple doors or windows. Not very flexible. I had a hard time getting it secure in certain spots.

I cannot stress enough how much it stops the freezing cold draft from the outer door. I followed the directions religiously and cleaned the door with soap and water, then swabbed it down with rubbing alcohol. That tape stuck to the door and is still well stuck 3 months later. Our Propane bill (furnace) is down by 40%. It is shocking how much money drafty doors and windows can cost you.

Incredible product- made a HUGE difference for our house and the cost of heating. Highly recommend and super easy to install- my 10yr granddaughter did it for me

Is exactly what it says it is I put it around my door no more cold air coming through what a significant difference. This stuff works amazing!!! worth every penny!

AMAZING product! This completely sealed the door preventing the cold winter winds from getting through the gaps. I was able to seal 4 doors with one box. Two of those doors were at my friend's house and this was the first time in 10 years she was able to open her doors without having to blow dry the ice build up at the bottom of the door after frigid cold nights.
