Perfect for making stencils

If cutting on a Cricut, buy the .75 and use a deep cut blade!
I got the 75mm to make face paint stencils on my Cricut. At first I had a lot of frustrations as the fine point blade would not cut through it despite trying a million different settings- you have to use the deep cut blade and change a few custom settings - (choose Mylar, then max out the pressure). After doing this it cut perfectly and worked so well!!! I was able to make custom logo stencils for the MN wind chill event.

Saved me $16-100 dollars. Xbox elite 1/2 controller's bumper hack!!!
TL:DR I used this to replace the plastic part in the Xbox elite 2 controller's bumper. 3 months later it works great!!! Anyone who knows, knows the Elite 2 series sadly has the same problem of the left and right bumper/s not working over time. Over the process of elimination. Husband and I discovered (at least in his case) it was because the stupid little plastic piece between the bumper button and plastic tip pressing ito it, wore down/got intents. So I started to look up to see if they solid just those plastic pieces, NOPE. My only options were to Buy the paddles so he can customize one of them to act as a pseudo bumper button, for $10 or up (price varies if you get official or non official). Buy the whole replacement part for $16. Or buy a complete new controller which will have the same problems again, $60-100... Eventually I realised I could just find sheets of thin plastic. Found these stencils, convinced husband we should get cuz it will work, and I was right! It's been 3 months now with NO problems whatsoever. The original plastic piece was 5.5mm, I got the 7.5mm. Just so had just a bit more of a chance not to indent as soon. These sheets will last me the rest of the lifespan of this controller.

It took a few test tries
I bought this 7.5 mylar to make a camo stencil with a cricut. After 3 tries I was successfully at custom setting Natural Wood veener, with deep cut blade. I had to run it twice, do not eject after first 4x setting cut for Natural Wood Veneer custom setting. Hope this helps.

Not what I thought
I wanted these to make some stencils. Thick enough, but definitely hard to see through if you're trying to trace something.

I can only speak to using these mylar sheets to cut stencils by hand with a scalpel. They worked well. 7.5 mil seems to be the right weight to minimize the number of passes required to cut through the plastic while maintaining enough strength to stand up to regular use. I was worried that the high-gloss finish would cause the scalpel to slip, but this didn't prove to be the the case. The product is competitively priced. I would buy these again.

It is hard plastic sheet and not transparent too. If you are going to buy it to cut stencil by your self with stencil knife. Please don't go for it. Very difficult to cut stencils in this sheet by hand. May be by it is good for laser machine.

Absolutely loved these! I bought these sheets to make my own journaling stencils and they came out beautifully. Some reviews mentioned being too thick; I think 7mil is the right thickness for long lasting stencils. I cut them with the Cricut maker 3. The trick is to add a new customized material with pressure at 350 and 6x passes. It is a thicker material so expect the Cricut to take some time cutting; I did not use a deep cut blade, I used the fine cut with the above settings and it worked great.

I like to make my own multi-layer stencils to create complex patterns and images. These sheets worked very well to make very clean detailed stencils with my Cricut Maker and Cricut Maker 4 machines. A sticky mat is essential. After some experimentation I found that 350 cut pressure, 3 passes and the fine point blade produced the best consistent results with my machines. However machine performance can vary, so depending on the condition of your machine and blade, you may need up to 5x to 7x passes as others have suggested. I didn't bother to try the deep cut blade as I was able to get great results with the fine point blade.

They are sturdy, durable, and thick enough to withstand repeated use without any signs of wear or tear. I've used them on various surfaces, from wood to fabric, and they consistently deliver clean, crisp lines, allowing me to achieve professional-looking stencils effortlessly.
