A great way to produce polarized light.
I'm doing some photography lighting experiments with polarized light and needed these to polarized the light from my studio strobe and continuous lights. A polarizing lens will be used on the camera and it's adjustment should help me eliminate unwanted reflected light bouncing off shiny objects on my subjects. I'm setting up for this now.

Good Linear Polarizing Sheet as a good price
Does exactly what it is supposed to. The protective "Saran Wrap" on both sides can be easily removed by using a piece of duct tape to start a corner. When you remove that from both sides, the polarizing sheet is then nice and clear and ready to use. Otherwise it is diffused. Lots of customers fail to realize this.

Works Well
I needed some reasonable linear polarizers to measure glare from LED headlamps. These work perfectly. I can use them with an SLR and light meter. I have to make a frame but that is simple. The 90 degree blockage is great for this price point. Remember to remove plastic covers.

Good value, but shipping could be better. Don't forget to remove the protective film on both sides!
Sold by RENIANUS and shipped from Amazon.- Damaged during shipping:Either the seller or Amazon did not package the sheets properly. The sheets were shipped in a bubble envelope with no carboard inserts to keep it protected. During shipment one of the 2 packages was stressed, so that all 3 sheets inside were pockmarked in two places. I was still able to use the sheets, but I was limited in how I could use them.- In the description it says that the material is GLASS. The sheets are plastic film, which is what I really expected.- At first I thought that the sheets were cloudy and didn't polarize, but I reread the description and realized I needed to peel off the protective film on each side. Then they worked well.

It works as advertised
I'm using mine to polarize the light so I can take pictures without those bright spots, specially on metalic surfaces.Works as intended.

not flat
This arrived in good condition, despite being shipped in only a bubble envelope. Has good extinction. BUT, and this is a big BUT, it curls up like a spring, forming a cylinder about 3 inches in diameter. Could not flatten it by weighting it down flat for a long period or by weighting it with heat for a long period. If you want this flat you will need to stick it to a rigid support.

it worked for the eclipse
The media could not be loaded. There was enough to make my own filters for the camera. Good value. Did not realize it was covered with protective plastic. Found out. Still have enough for other projects.

Extremely low quality
The film has extremely poor optical qualities. Anything viewed through it is blurred to the point of being unrecognizable. Additionally, the polarization isn't all that strong. Possibly the most frustrating part is that they do nothing to flatten the film, so it retains the curl that it had on the roll and is difficult to work with. The poor optical qualities make it a dud for photography and the unruly curling makes it a dud for demonstrating the quantum nature of light, unless you want your demonstration to be a comedy. That's a failure of 2/3 of what they advertise it for and given that the picture is of perfectly flat sheets, I think this qualifies as false advertisement. If you buy a new car based on pictures and it gets delivered all curled up an unusable, that's clearly a scam. It shouldn't be any different for other products.
