I tried this shoe brush today. The 2 bottom bristles scrape the dirt fairly well. An additional bristle on the bottom would have been nice as I find that the gap between the 2 existing bristles is too wide. Still will come out handy for cleaning my boots and shoes before entering the house when I work outside in the spring. I will no longer have to vacuum the entrance carpet every day. Expect to have to screw the device on to a wooden board or other stable material to prevent it from moving when using it. Otherwise, it will move at every foot strike and will not clean properly.Another reason I only give this product 3 stars is because 4 screws are needed to bolt it to a board and there were only 3 screws in the box. I read the reviews on Amazon.com and this is happening to other customers as well. I believe that when consumers make purchases, they should get all the merchandise and not just part of it.

I purchased this and installed it outside our garage because I was tired of my son (works at construction sites) tracking mud inside. Very solid build. Highly recommend.
