Great fluorescent replacements.
These are meant to replace existing lights or with the option of bypassing the ballast. The lights I put them in had bad ballasts. I wasn't comfortable bypassing the ballasts because they were different than what was in their directions, so I just inserted them. This doesn't work if you replace both fluorescent bulbs in the same fixture. However, it does work if you just replace one. You just may have to play around to figure out which one to replace. Even with just half of the fixture lit up, it's brighter than the light was with both fluorescent bulbs. The lobby in our office has never been so bright. I will be getting more of these.

Excellent fit, excellent lighting
I ordered them and received them very quickly. I installed them and they seem excellent. Perfect fit. Great lighting. Itโs so much easier to order them and wait 2 days rather than go to Home Depot and spend more. They were a couple dollars cheaper than the ones I was buying.

LEDs for my garage
I got these for my garage. It had lights with Mercury in them and I decided to change them to LED so I don't got to do with them. Good lighting easy to put in I like them a lot.

Worked great , replacing old bulbs & ballast
These bulbs worked exactly how the instructions indicated. At least once I finally figured out what "L" and "N1" on one end of the tubes meant. "L" is your black hot line and "N" is the white neutral. I did single and wiring, which I would recommend. It's just easier. That means one end of your tube is going to slide into a socket that has no wires to it. It works fine. And it's so great not having a ballast as another point of failure!

I used these to replace Fluorescent Tubes in our kitchen. They are brighter than the old Tubes.
It was difficult finding LED Tubes that could be used to replace U-Bend, T-12, 41 watt, Fluorescent Tubes. I removed the Ballast, and found some non-shunted Tombstones so I used single end wiring to the new T-8 Tombstones. The new LED Tubes and Tombstones fit perfectly into the fixture that have been in use since the late '80s. The new 15 watt, LED Tubes are much brighter than the Fluorescent Tubes they replaced and should be longer lasting with no Mercury and Hazardous-Materials issues for disposal. There are three options for replacing Fluorescents with LEDs from best to worst in my opinion. 1. Single End direct wiring with Ballast Removal. Not all LED replacements offer this option 2. Two end direct wiring with Ballast Removal. Not all LED replacements offer this option. 3. Direct replacement of the Fluorescent Tubes, using the existing ballasts. Not all LED replacements offer this option. The Ballast is another device that can fail, and may be hard to locate in the future.

Great product, stinky directions
I give it 3 stars as the directions are horrible and printed so small, come on really! The product was great though. I needed to replace my FB40 โUโ fluorescents- in NYS the old bulbs contain mercury and phasing out - this was easy to install just as you look up to the fixture , wire to the left side only of each light, black ( hot) directly to left wire of clip; white ( neutral) to right wire of left clip- the other clip of each light is just a holder for each light - do same for other side- my center clips were jump wired (series) so I cut and moved one to the outside and switched it for the outer one that had longer wires. There is an alternate way to wire where you bring in the black to the left wire of the left side and then to the right wire of the right clip for each light also- make sure power is off and labels on lights go up toward ceiling . Take out ballast and recycle. Since you are direct wiring you can just install 1 light or both- to my eye light output is about the same. Lol

Worked well
Worked well, as good as more expensive bulbs from the big box hardware stores. However, price was just "okay", not a great deal.

Excellent. Direct replacement for fluorescent T8 tubes.
I just replaced 34 fluorescent T8 U tubes with these and it all went well. The light output is a bit brighter now. I left the ballasts in place because electronic ballasts rarely fail.

Did not work with the ballast - but was a magnetic ballast
This was a 'used' item... I assume someone else returned it. They did not work with either of my ballasts... I did not proceed to bypass the ballasts, because if they don't work with working ballasts... It is safe to assume they do not work. Too bad. I was hoping they would work as I am not a fan of fluorescent due to the environmental issues associated with them. It is possible I got duds that were returned. Anyway, I successfully returned them within Amazon's return window of 30 days. I later learned that my ballast was magnetic, and not electronic. Probably the bypass would have worked. I found out that you can tell if the ballast is magnetic by viewing the light (on) through the cell phone camera. If there are coloured bands, it is a magnetic ballast. Changing the rating from one star to four because I was refunded.
