I went by my waist size. I am 5'1" and weigh 129 and got a small. The waist (mine is a 28 for jeans) is elastic and comes up high and fits snugly. Hope this helps!

What is the difference between 1 Black and 2 Black other than there are two different models?

Black 1 has more of the wide pant bottom as Black 2 is more skinny fit pants.
