The Afrika Korps: The History of Nazi Germany’s Expeditionary Force in North Africa During World War II

I found the e-book Afrika Korps to be quite interesting. The e-book provides extensive information about the Afrika Korps and their original mission. The German General Rommel was probably close to a tactical genius but seemed to lack a basic understanding of logistics in the battle zone. His original mission was to prop up the Italian forces and block British attacks. This book tells the story of mission creep and blunders by both sides that enabled the enemy to survive to fight another day. The book contains a fair amount of maps that explain the position of various forces. I do wonder what Rommel could have done if he had been adequately supplied. After reading this book, you will understand the legend of Rommel and the Afrika Korps and how Britain ultimately defeated them.

This book is distinct and informative and is worth reading to anyone with an interest in the north Africa campaign. It brings many issues to light and how the campaign evolved and was resolved. Good maps as well.

Summary of important events. Dry, without the flavor of personalities of some of WWII most interesting leaders. Just the facts, just the facts.

This is purely a 25 year old grad student's summary of their perspective of the Afrika Corps. I did not even break the back binding, because i immediately saw this is a massive scam publication. I will try to return it, rather than be embarrased with having in seen in my bookcase!
