Keep them in the foil packets until use
I opened a pack and kept them out of foil inside bottle and they did not work correctly, opened new foil pack and they were fine so lesson learned.

maybe, but not quite...
i found that the free chlorine reading matched my other strips total chlorine. maybe the others are wrong ? i also found that the total alkalinity reads 120 vs others at 60 . i don't know which is correct . very nice packaging of the strips into bundles of ten - but only 40 strips total .
