Natural High Sided Sheet Cake Pan, Silver

I love these NordicWare pans, with helpful plastic covers fitting bases of all sizes. These new pans here, the latest offering in the series, are exactly a double-cake-pan size (yes, they hold 2 cake mixes worth of cake, for a large-sized presentation for birthdays, barbecues, whatever...). And the wonderful plastic top is very high -- can easily accommodate most decorations. But these are not just for cakes! Their greatest value is as easily transportable storage for all sorts of food. Example: two weeks ago, my husband and I were asked to bring 800 (!) finger sandwiches to help feed 200 people at a huge reception for new ministers, with ministers from 5 states coming to honor their colleagues' commitment ceremony. We had done a similar but smaller event many years ago and struggled mightily getting less than half that much food to the reception site in one piece (not entirely successfully, I might add), and we'd sworn we'd never do it again, let alone something more than double the size. This time, though, we had just started using a couple of these brand-new double-sized pans, and we had the answer. We ordered two more from Amazon, and filled each one with 200 finger sandwiches -- ham salad, tuna salad, egg salad, and creamed cheese & olive. The pans protected the sandwiches beautifully, stacked readily upon themselves, were easy to carry (although HEAVY!), and lay flat in our trunk, for uneventful transfer to the church kitchen. At church, they were used to keep seconds and thirds of each type of sandwich fresh in the fridge for restocking huge silver serving trays several times during the reception. An easy solution, both for church volunteers staffing the reception and ourselves. What a delight! My husband, who hates spending money and hadn't been happy when I ordered the first set right after they were introduced, was wowed by the convenience, applauded afterwards my second purchase of 2 more, and, offering to buy more after this latest triumph, said solicitously "honey, do we need any more of those pans?" P.S. The covers also fit exactly over the "half sheet pan", and both these pans and the covers stack easily for storage. I have 6 sheet pans with covers and 4 cake pans with covers, and they all together take up only one pan's footprint on my shelf. Sheet pans are great for storage, too, since the plastic cover is so high -- easily takes cookies or bars on the go, too, and makes a beautiful presentation of veggies, appetizers, cut fruit, pastries etc. at a picnic or barbecue.

WOW! This pan is amazing when making dinner rolls! 24 rolls fit just perfectly in the pan with plenty of room to rise. With the nice domed lid, I can put the lid on the pan and keep my dough out of a draft. It is easily 3" tall with the lid on - so there's plenty of room! It cleans like a dream and the pan is nice and sturdy! Great product!

I received my first order for a sheet cake and didn't have a pan. After previously purchasing Nordic Naturals and really liking their performance and durability, I chose this pan. I had looked at many other pans, some with much higher sides (more like ones that a bakery would use) and am glad I chose this pan. None of the bakery pans had lids. I was concerned that this pan didn't have high enough sides for a traditional celebration sheet cake, but with frosting it was a great height. Not quite as high as a grocery store/bakery cake, but still good. I did a doctored box mix recipe to make the cake more sturdy. Not only did the cake bake perfectly, the pan didn't warp and it released the cake with no issues. I'm really happy with this pan, as with other Nordic Naturals pans I've purchased. They do discolor if you put them in the dishwasher, but I'm not concerned about the appearance. Performance is king, and this pan performs!

Needed a large pan semi last minute for a cake I agreed to make for a friend, and this was the one I chose 👌 It came with no damage at all and served its purpose well. I recommend parchment paper in the bottom, as annoying as that can be, because the first cake I made was a new-to-me recipe and came out dryer than I anticipated, which resulted in major sticking. When I tried again, the replacement recipe was much more moist and the cooking spray I used was enough to let it fall right out onto the drum, and the pan cooled quickly after that. The pan itself is pretty lightweight, but feels sturdy and of good quality. Of course, be ready for it to get quite heavy with batter in it lol.

The 2” high sides (pan) allow plenty of room for the extra fruit toppings on my sheet cakes. The lid fits snugly and is easy to snap on and off. It makes transporting my cakes to family gatherings easy peasy. The lid is also nice for protection in the fridge…and saves $$ on aluminum foil. I was thrilled to learn this is made in the good ole USA! 🇺🇸

I own several Nordic Ware pans and have always been happy with the quality. Amazon has this pan at a very nice price. Shipping was a bit slow but the wait was worth it considering the price. The lid is very handy and the main reason I bought this model. The only fault, and the reason I knocked off a star, is the logo is stamped into the metal at one end of the pan. This makes an indent pattern in an otherwise smooth pan. After baking a cake you need a soft bristle brush to clean the residue out of the stamped logo. This is the first Nordic Ware pan I have purchased with the indented logo in the cooking area.

I'm impressed with this cake pan! It's a breeze to clean, and it produced a fantastic sheet cake with even cooking. The lid is a great addition and fits snugly, making it easy to transport and store. Overall, I'm thrilled with the performance and quality of this pan. It's a definite winner for any baker!
