Will this pad stick to the roof? I just need to use temporarily. I don't want to damage the roof upon removal

The pad itself is not adhesive; it’s simply a good friction surface. However, roofs can get quite hot. So you must consider the roof material upon which you will place the mat. Does your roof material get sticky when hot? That’s the consideration.

How thick is this pad?

It seems very sturdy material just not very think. Probably about and 1/8 of an inch thick. We have used these and have had no issues after putting 8 cinder blocks on the sled.

Any chance this will end up discoloring the roof where it sets over a period of time?

I have used these for years. Always been on black roofs so I dont know. Very well made, seem to last for years and years. Certainly better than a hole in your roof.
