Q: Looking to cut some pvc pipe, 27mm od and 3mm thick walls. other versions just seem to groove and deform the pipe, is this one any good?

Hi there, I haven’t tried to cut through PVC pipe but I would guess this would be able to handle it quite easily as I used this to cut through a 32mm diameter steel heavy duty clothes rail though the blade in the pipe cutter needed replacing immediately afterwards before I could use it again. It will make an initial groove in the pipe which will eventually become the point that the blade cuts through after you’ve repeated the process of turning the pipe cutter around the pipe whilst adjusting the pipe cutter blade.

Q: Any ideas where the 3 spare cutting wheels are hidden? Other than the tool the box was empty?

Remove the screw holding the rotating knob at the top of cutter. Spare cutting wheels should be in the well where you removed the screw and should fall out when you turn cutter upside down.

Probably would but mine fell apart after 3 cuts
