A must for toddlers!
These scissors are great! I purchased these for my o rely ambitious 1.5 year old. Before giving them to him, I of course tried them out. Here’s what I found, overall: Pros - They are SO CUTE! I love the attention to detail from the adorable bunny paw prints along the shanks to the little ears and stubby tail on the bows. - They are lightweight but sturdy. Light enough for a toddler to handle but sturdy enough for a toddler to beat up. - They cut everything they are supposed to, and nothing they aren’t supposed to. I tried these scissors on lots of things: a paper towel, printer paper, construction paper, a Ziplock bag, my finger, and my hair, to name a few. They cut through the printer paper and the construction paper pretty easily, the ziplock bag and the paper towel were a bit harder (which is a good thing! I don’t need my toddler trying to cut up everything he can get his tiny hands on). When I tried on my finger, even as hard as I could, it luckily wouldn’t cut me, let alone hurt, which is great. Most importantly, they don’t cut through hair, so no homemade haircuts for us! - They can be used with both left and right hands. I encourage my son to use both hands and these cut well on either hand! - The price is super low. Cons - While they aren’t hard to cut with, they can be a bit rigid. Although, they haven’t been “broken in” and may loosen up a lot over time. Overall, these scissors are a fantastic buy!

The perfect safety scissors for any kid!
Valentine's Day is coming up, and I thought it'd be cute if my niece made her own cards to give out to the family. She's only 4 though, and I didn't trust her with regular scissors, so I turned to Amazon. And I'm so glad I did! When it got here, I decided to test it out myself before letting my niece use them. First, I tried it out on my skin, and thankfully it didn't cut me. Second, I used it on my hair, and it didn't cut through either. Third, I used it on my sleeve, and it didn't cut that either. It passed all the tests I was mostly concerned about. So then I used it on construction paper, and I was so surprised by how well it cut through! If you've used safety scissors in the past, you'll know that they tend to be way too blunt and a real pain trying to get them to cut through a sheet of paper. But these are great! So glad I got these. My family is going to be pleasantly surprised on Valentine's Day! P.S. My niece giggled so much when I gave them to her, she thought the design was really cute.

Kept my 3 year old kid happy, quiet and busy during a long plane ride
These are good starter scissors. They are not great at cutting paper, but they won't cut anything else (that I have seen). Their dullness actually forces the user to use a good technique (perpendicular to the paper) or they won't work. They work much better on crisp paper, These got through airport screening in Belgium, the UK and the U.S. just fine, they are so dull and contain no metal. I felt bad about the confetti cloud that enveloped our seating area, but all the passengers on that airplane would probably still count this as a win. (I truly am sorry, airplane cleaning crew.)

Awesome scissors ! Cut easily without any effort !
These scissors are absolutely awesome ! My 3 year old daughter has been able to cut everything from tracing paper to construction paper with little effort on her part. They are the perfect size for little hands too and were easy enough for me to use and help cut with her. They do not cut anything else as I had tried on an old t-shirt just to be sure we weren't going to turn our heads for a second and have a sleeveless shirt or a few strips added to one. Luckily we haven't had any experience with the question of if they can cut hair or not but hopefully no ones getting any haircuts anytime soon. All in all these scissors are terrific, we've tried some other "kids" scissors that just wedged the paper between the 2 blades without cutting anything. Great purchase and I highly recommend!

Happy bunny scissors hop-hop!
That's my daughter's review, "Happy bunny scissors hop-hop!" She's two, and her scissors just arrived today. They're darling, and I was surprised at how quickly she took to them. With a little instruction, she confidently made a big mess of orange construction paper graffiti on the table. The blades are fiberglass, which is what I was looking for, and they make short work of paper while still being finger-safe. I did test them on hair and fabric, and both folded between the blades without a snip. We've tried them on construction paper and the Kumon "Let's Cut Paper" book which has slightly stiffer than average glossy paper, and the scissors work fine on both. Like any scissors (and possibly to a greater degree) you have to make sure to hold them at the right angle or the paper slips through, but honestly I see that as a great learning opportunity. The kids really have to learn to use them like a "real" pair of scissors. And the bonus is that they work right or left handed, which is great as my little one hasn't decided which she prefers yet. My only complaint is that the holes in the handles could be a tad bigger. Kiddo can fit two fingers in one, but probably not for long.

Great scissors to teach cutting
Great scissors to teach toddler how to cut paper. Love this as my little one appears to be left handed and they work great in either a right handed or left handed hold. Love that they only cut paper. Some complain that you have to hold the paper straight to get it to cut. I like this as it teachers proper hold and as someone who has worked with occupational therapists this helps teach proper holding and use of opposite hand to hold paper.

Not totally safe
This will pinch small fingers and I nicked myself testing it. There is another Maped safety scissor that is better.

Brand that tells the truth!
These do the job and cut through paper smoothly, quickly, and easily. I didn’t see have any issues with crumpled paper v. brand new, perfectly flat. The scissors cut through both types with ease. Then, I started to branch out. The package the scissors came in. Ah, not much. It seemed to only cut the bubbles instead of the actual package and the bubbles. So we’ll say slightly, but not completely. Then I tried an old shirt. Nothing. Didn’t even leave the smallest of holes or cuts. Still in perfect condition. The brand claims they don’t cut skin, hair, or clothing, and I’m happy to report that is all indeed true. Like everyone else, I tried on my hair. Do you know that “sound” scissors make when they’re cutting your hair? I think they want to. I think they’d try if they could. However, These do not cut your hair, so no mama will have to walk home to an unplanned beauty appointment. Dull on the end, doesn’t cut anything but paper, lightweight, and just super cute. I’ll recommend these, easily.

Safe product
This is safe for children, the edge was little sharp and had to use sandpaper to make it blunt
