When fully charged the batteries show only 80% . This seems to low, is this normal for rechargeable batteries?

The first time on a new battery depending on the brand. The batteries will only charge to 80% to 90%. Use the batteries several times past 50% then charge them up. Eventually you will see them charge to 93 - 95% on this charger. Most likely you will not see 100%. If you still see issues try a different brand of battery to see if you have problems with full charge. if so, I would return the charger. REMINDER Never Charge Batteries unattended or in a area with combustibles close by. The Charger and Batteries could fail.

My led screen is flashing red and green. i just got it. i put the batteries in it came with and i know they are precharged, but i wanted to make sure?

Solid green means fully charged. Every once in awhile I get a flashing red and then it settles down. But a few times I’ve had a battery that won’t charge at all and I toss it. But I’m using batteries I’ve had in the house, not new ones. Hope this helps
