Very sturdy but we have a huge split in front from top to bottom. Did not come boxed up. It traveled unwrapped and was filthy when it arrived. Yuck!

Bought for a mountain cabin loft bedroom. Absolutely perfect -- add two twin mattresses and it pops up to a king size bed. Very high quality workmanship, heavy, beautifully finished. Love this!

Returned as it did not arrive as pictured. The wood was fine but the rest looked used, paint chipping, and it wasn’t even the same style as pictured. Decided it wasn’t worth giving it a chance and just returned. I wish it had worked, nice looking style.

This is a beautiful product for what you pay. The color and gloss are very close to what you see in the picture. The product was delivered to the end of my driveway (which is crazy to navigate), and I just carried each piece up to the house. I wasn't going to make the guys figure out how to get the truck up my offshoot driveway. Assembly is not difficult, but it would have been hard without help from one other person--just to hold stuff in place. Also, the bed frame attaches to the rails with lag screws that you screw into metal anchors that you tap into the rails. I found that a rubber mallet worked well for tapping in the anchors in order to avoid damaging the wood. Also, MAKE SURE YOU TAP THE ANCHORS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION! I had to look at them a while to figure out the right way, but just make sure the smooth, perfectly round opening is facing out to receive the screws. Flip it around and you'll be MAD! Also helpful is this: if you attach the brackets to the ends of the bed frame so that the long end points up, you can actually reduce the height of the frame from 16" to 15" (without the mattress), which makes it easier to use as a couch when the mattress is put on. And the trundle will still fit underneath with a 7" mattress on it. I got the Best Price Mattress 7-Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress (standard twin) from Amazon for just under $100, and it's GREAT! I am going to get another one for the trundle bed. BTW, the trundle bed is such a great addition to this piece. Overall I could not be more pleased with this product. We'll enjoy it for years, and it's great to have two extra beds in the house for guests while we use it as a couch when the house is empty. Just fantastic. Montana Woodworks hits a grand slam with this one. I just went and additionally bought the Montana Woodworks Glacier Country Bar because I am so pleased with the daybed. The two will go good together in our walk-out basement.

5* This lodge pole peeled log bed is tough, beautiful & very appealing.3* I needed to place a plywood sheet on the steel bed frames to smooth out the ridge in the middle of the bed frames. Ouch.5* This heavy log bed is ideal for our cabin & everyone compliments the beautiful log construction and finish.4* The trampolene base mattress support has a steel bar under the middle that is not viseable in the pictures & is a problem.4* This is a "BED" and will not ever double as a couch.

Solid, well made natural wood furniture. The Beatles tracks, gnarls and character are wonderful. Came very well packaged.The only problems were in the placement of the holes drilled by the factory. The predrilled holes for the twin frame for the mattress were too far back. When mounted in this position the mattress hangs off the front by alost 2 inches. I attempted to drill new holes but realized the inserts for the holes for screws to mount to were already in the other holes and not coming out. So unless I was buying new inserts or different screws altogether I was still stuck.The popup trundle does not line up with the daybed mattress. Again, the location of the holes was not made in consideration of the trundle. The frame is slightly adjustable but still not allowing for the popular to align with the main mattress.

I'm always nervous when buying the bigger things for my home but this product has made a believer out of me. I will be looking to expand my Montana Woodworks collection very soon, in fact. It looks beautiful and it's made so well, very sturdy. I'm so excited to have guests sleep on it.
