CHC Exam Secrets Study Guide: CHC Test Review for the HCCA CCB Certified in Healthcare Compliance Examination (Mometrix Test Preparation)

Straightforward. I am a Clinical Compliance Manager and this is exactly what I need to actually LEARN the regulations and laws that are not for the clinical side. I am starting with this study guide and will be purchasing the others in this category to add 2 additional credentials. I especially appreciate the practice test with 120 questions. I went in "blind" to test myself and literally stopped by the third question. Mind you, I have been in this field for more than 7 years- so this will help me prepare for the side I have not had to manage in my career field, at present. I believe this will give me a footing to gaining credentials for a higher paying position. THANK YOU!

Please save your time and money by avoiding this book. It contains outdated information - for example the HIPDB which no longer exists. HCCA’s Compliance 101 is the book you want to purchase if you are studying for the CHC exam. It is more expensive than this book, but it contains correct information and will help you pass the exam. The OIG and OCR websites contain a plethora of information and they are totally free.

I think it’s great preparation in conjunction with the flashcards. I’ve not taken the test just yet but it helps one to learn managing test anxiety, especially when you’ve not taken a multiple choice test in many years. In my opinion the Compliance 101 book is too general and it should be PART of your learning, not the only resource upon which you rely. This book helps break down quite a few laws so it’s great to use in conjunction with other study tools.

I have not taken the CHC exam yet, but I have been prepping and the sample test questions followed by the answer guide and definitions is very detailed!

I just started reading this book and was disappointed in the content in regards to it being geared toward the CHC exam. I was hoping it would follow along with what the CHC exam information guidelines suggest, but it falls short. I also didn’t find the study tips to be useful. Unfortunately it is outside the window of return. I suggest to stick with HCCA’s Compliance 101.
