Nope, no hole. A bit of the hydraulic oil on the end and the go in easy with a bit of twisting back and forth..

yes, they work well on the big red jacks. Pro tip, don't loose the backside of the old one inside the jack when it breaks in half when removing it. The jacks do come apart to retrieve the piece, tho.
