It was time to replace my joysticks, as they were drifting so I decided to give it a facelift at the same time.A quick disclaimer for anyone considering this product: It is necessary that you have knowledge/experience with disassembling complex electronics as you will need to nearly COMPLETELY disassemble your switch lite to replace its shell. The screwdrivers needed are included but be sure to have thermal paste on hand.My first thought when unboxing this product was: It's matte. I clearly missed "Note the shell is clear but not 100% transparent." in the product description but it definitely wasn't bad because it still looks fantastic.My only complaint about the appearance of this shell, it has the manufacturing date indicators in two very visible spots (bottom right near joystick in image 1, top left of heatsink in image 2) and I find it slightly unsightly.The plastic feels very good in the hands with its matte finish. The quality & precision of the shell is very good, everything closes perfectly flush and I had no difficulty seating anything at all. The package comes with two screwdrivers that I'll never use because I have a million of them, some fun classic Nintendo-style a b x y buttons that I decided not to use, screws and springs for the R and L buttons in case you lose anything. It also comes with a grey screen protector that in my case had pretty bad quality, there were two scratches already on it but I won't let that take away from the rating because I didn't buy this for a screen protector.Overall, this product is a very solid option for your project if the colour you're looking for is in stock.

This is a brilliant product for customising, changing or even replacing your Switch Lites case.It’s sturdy, well made and very pleasant to look at once completed. Something I’m sure all of you want in this style of product.However I do have two issues with this product. Neither relating to the case itself mind you.1st - The screwdrivers supplied with the product broke on me and made on of my Tri Wing screws damaged. Meaning my original switch case is simply unusable and I’m now left with the case I ordered. I’m not sure if this is a common issue or if I simply got unlucky but the Tri Wing screwdriver supplied with my case broke immediately rendering it pointless. So I ordered some more to change my case around.2nd - Note that this product is designed to be used by experienced consumers. And if you are new to customising I strongly recommend you watch a video before, during and after purchasing. As taking any Switch apart is a daunting task for a new person.But aside from that. This product is amazing! Strongly recommend

Leider war die Qualität der Case nicht gut, so dass ich nun dieses Case an meiner Lite verbauen wollte. Took about 2 hours, but I replaced my blue digitizer with a black one, and that process took nearly an hour itself. The case looks, feels and fits great. I did have to file down the left bumper a tiny bit because it was sticking, but not a big deal at all. The screwdrivers work fine. I didn’t use the screws that came with the kit, I ended up reusing the oem screws. All in all, I’m impressed. With a little patience, a good YouTube tutorial to follow, and a bit of time on your hands, I highly recommend.

I opted for Atomic Purple and it looks great once installed, I love the retro vibe. My switch was teal coloured and I opted not to use the screen protector that comes with the shell, out of everything I struggled the most with the protector so just ditched it in the end! The teal rim of my screen actually looks decent with the purple shell, grey would have worked better but I don’t regret not bothering with the protector.Obviously this takes some time and effort to install. I spent roughly 4 hours doing this but I actually enjoyed the challenge. I only had an issue with the ZR and ZL buttons post installation but it was because i’d put the rubber button press inside the switch the wrong way round, once I corrected that it worked like a charm.There are plenty of tutorials online on how to do this, as long as you find a good one you’ll probably manage just fine. I used the tutorial by Erica Griffin on youtube, as she narrates what she’s doing I found this to be better than the tutorial by extremeRate themselves.
