Exactly what we needed...
We bought two of these to mount our bikes in the back of my wife's (extra short bed) truck. I mounted them to a cargo bar that clamps into the truck bed so that they would be mounted securely, but easy to remove when not in use.I chose this version that doesn't include the locks so that we could pick out our own locks and get two locks that are keyed the same. These fork mounts work really well. Our first outing with them involved a 430 mile(round trip) road trip with a little mild off-roading in the middle. Our bikes were always held securely and never once did we think we'd bounce them out of the mounts (even on the trails). It might take a little practice at getting the tightness of the skewer on the mount just right, even if you are a pro at taking your front wheels on and off, because the skewer on the mount has an offset on one side and seems to have a longer throw than a wheel skewer. The long throw is an advantage though, because once the skewer is open, it will open wide enough to completely release the forks. This makes it less likely that you'll have to make adjustments to the "nut" end of the skewer every time you mount and dismount your forks.Other users have mentioned that the skewer lever is hard to move to the open position once it's been closed, but I had no issues with mine.I think it's a skewer tightness issue and it could be that the skewer was clamped down too tightly when it was closed. As far as quality goes, I'm really happy with how well these things are made (and I'm really picky). They are very durable and appear to be made of materials that will endure prolonged outside abuse, although ours live primarily in the garage.I'd say that this fork mount is a really good and affordable way to mount a bicycle to the bed of your truck.

Very sturdy
I bought this adapter so that I can mount my new thru-axle bike (work still in progress) onto my Thule roof rack designed for quick release front wheels. I haven't actually used it yet, but it's very sturdy and should work just fine. The roof rack has locks, but obviously, the adapter provides no lock, so the mount is not secure. However, I can probably find a locking thru-axle if I need a secure mount. The price is lower than the Thule version, and I cannot believe that the Thule version would work any better. The product supports multiple thru-axle sizes, including the 12x100mm that I need.

Great Bike Wheel Hitch for the Price
Quality wheel hitch for the price. They are cheaper and thinner than the Saris ones and work great with the Saris bike mount double and triple track systems. Wheel easily attaches (forks can be squeezed inwards or pulled apart for pretty much any bike wheel axle width, but rigid enough that they don't move from side to side much at all. Also recommend the Delta Bike Hitch Pro locking fork mount which is a good quality fork hitch for the price and works great with the Saris track systems as well. However, they are painted steel, so I don't doubt they would begin to rust if left outside/exposed over long periods. But they are solid steel, not tubular, so rust would just be an appearance issue and not particularly harm the wheel hitch. If it had been stainless, or a bit heavier duty aluminum, I'd have given them a five star rating. Course, they would have cost significantly more then.

Yay!
Solved my dilemma on how to put my new bike on the roof rack! Works well second delta product I’ve bought and no complaints.

I am buying another one
I like it, it is high quality, and it does lock. Main thing: super easy to install, super sturdy, rust proof and cost less than twenty bucks. It does hold the bike very well. Once locked, the bike is hitched solid, not going anywhere, at any speed, or any turn….I tried. Very easy to take the bike on and off the hitch in a minute or 2, and you can have four of these mounted on the rail in the back of the truck bed, easily carrying 4 bikes at the same time, without any bike moving or touching the other. No, I would not leave my composite road bike in the bed of the truck unattended, for more than 5-10 minutes in a public place. This is true with any bike carrier, nothing is 100% theft proof, not even inside a locked garage: somebody can cut open a typical aluminum garage door panel (with a pocket knife) to access the garage and steel the bike, if they really wanted to. I used big SS screws to mount the hitch to the back rail of the bed. I also used industrial epoxy on the screw shaft, and on top of the screw head, so it cannot be removed. You can also use epoxy on the nut, but not necessary if you have it tight enough. In fact, it is not easy at all to remove the nut, not even with locking pliers if tightened properly. Actually, it is easier to use a bolt cutter, to cut the padlock then to unscrew the nut.Is it theft proof? Absolutely not, best to have a huge 800 lbs. safe in the bed of the truck, and lock the bike in the safe and bolt the safe to the bed, and weld it. But then, someone can just steel the whole truck with the safe and the bike included.. Unless, of course, you hire a full time body guard to protect the bike, the safe and the truck

Surprisingly good
I’ve used a number of thru axle adapters in the past and have always been slightly disappointed. This one, on the other hand, exceeded my expectations. It’s very sturdy, there is no wobble, it’s easily adjustable.I did add some anti-seize compound to the threads as I’m using it for roof racks and feel that it might help keep it adjustable for the future. It fit my MTB (15x110) and road bikes (12x100) perfectly. It’s better than my rocky mounts one as it’s easier to use.
