Worked great, stabilized my motorhome perfect

Our 1990 class A 30' was the most unsafe vehicle I ever driven in my 50 years of life. I couldn't control the steering that was bouncing or moving all over place about to sideswipe anything around me on the freeway. I was terrified. It felt like trying to dock a ship during a bad storm with high winds and waves. After doing a research I found this product, I called them and provided them with my VIN# as well as measurements since our motorhomes manufacturer doesn't exist anymore. Their technical staff as well as the lady that answer my call was phenomenal, this people are definitely the true definition of customer care and service. They guided us remotely through the process of installation along with the very easy instructions. My husband installed it in about 3 hrs. (Our system is very complicated). Ever since he installed this device for me, I was no longer terrified, the rig drove beautiful, I could even grab the steering sheel with one hand and for the first time Inwas relaxed. I knew this time I was in control and my life would be preserved as well as that of all others arouns me. We own approx 12 RVs, I usually drive any type of rig, all the way to a 40' diesel pusher. I can assure you that hands down this product is a life saver. Best investment of my life. My husband is a mechanic and was able to do the job very easily. But if you are not mechanically savvy you really should take it to a shop to have it installed properly

This works well keeping the steering centered on my motorhome. Easy to install but a little bit of a pain to get perfectly adjusted

I like the ease of installation. Adjusting the product after installation is not easy and requires two people and multiple attempts.

Major improvement of drivability. Driving a coach will never be like driving a car, but I can drive comfortably with one hand with the Safe-T-Plus. I would recommend anyone attempting to install this themselves do a few things. #1. Use an Impact driver, seriously. This came with the tightest top lock nuts I have ever used in my life. (I've worked in an assembly plant for 20 yrs). Even though they where very difficult to install even with the impact, I know they aren't coming loose from road vibration. #2. Use a heat source like propane or MAPP gas torch to heat original hardware where the frame bracket is installed. These are often very tight and because they are under the coach, they are more than likely rusted together. #3. install anchor bracket hardware to proper spec. Instructions stated to tighten 3/4 inch hardware to 90 ft. lbs. That is probably sufficient for the hardware that goes through the Safe-T-Plus itself, however, the hardware that goes through the frame/steer components should be torqued to industry specs. In my case, Freightliner XC, these were 3/4-16 bolts and should be 295 ft. lbs. Other than those few little details, This has probably been the best purchase I've made for the coach.... other than the coach itself ;-)

Safe t plus is well known amongst Class A motorhome owners. When adjusted correctly, it helps prevent wander and fatigue, that is an issue on long drives. I’m very pleased, this was a good price. (You will need the proper installation kit for your model RV)

Every motor home should have one, should be the LAW

What a simple idea to stop the motorhome steering drift on highways. Very easy to install and does what it claims. Setting the centre position is a little hit and miss, but once set, this is the cheapest and easiest install to stop the steering drift o A Class motorhomes.

Expensive but helped

I was unsure if this unit would cure the handling of my 40 diesel pusher motorhome but it has made me believe in the advertising. The install was easy for anyone with basic mechanical ability but the set up can take some time. It is a trial and error set up that will be frustrating but worth the effort once you get the correct alignment. six hours days of driving were a workout and since install I have done several 10 hour days with no problem. If you herd your class A down the road like a wayward bus you should make the investment in one of these units. Thanks Safe-T-Plus for delivering as advertised.

Ordered the safe t plus steering stabilizer and the box looked open and re taped and missing the 2 mounting bolts. Disappointed since I need to drive to town and find 2 -3/4" bolts , washer and lock nuts to do the install

I have a 35 Ft class A Winnebago and make sure I do not go past the recommended age limit on my tires. However one can never be too safe. I have spoken to people who Installed a Safe T Plus and experienced a blow out. They said the Safe T Plus allowed them to come to a safe stop without having the RV pull to the side. My mechanic was able to install the bracket and Safe T Plus quickly and he was impressed with the directions and quality of the product. He went with me to do the road test and he was able to make the final adjustments easily. In the end he congratulated me on my purchase which says a lot.
