Sprecher PUMA KOLA - caffeine-free "The Grandest Of 'em All!", 16-Ounce Glass Bottle (Pack of 12)

why is this called Kola? I think cola and this is more like a root beer or vanilla cola. Too sweet. weird aftertaste. I did not know it contained no caffeine..so why bother drinking a cola???? I have had some decent craft colas and things not pepsi but this drink is not in the same class. yuk.

I generally avoid drinking soda and this is a pretty easy drink. The ingredient list compared to mass produced brands is superior and it's always fun to try something off the beaten path in good company. This is me and my bro's go to conversational soda. The Sprecher Cherry cola is also good. Blueberry is different. Root Beer is also delicious.

I usually buy this at our local hardware store it’s one of my favorite of the sprecher brand. The kola flavor really comes through and mixes well with rum aswell, I don’t know that I’d call it a cola as far as taste goes compared to other stuff on the market but it’s a great soda.

Not overly carbonated, extra nice cola taste and best of all no caffeine. I actually hunted this stuff down the other day and wanted one real bad late in the evening...It was only then that I realized that it was caffeine free!-Real good stuff.

I used to buy this all the time then I moved and couldn't find it for about a year. I found a place that sells it recently and bought 12 bottles. Well it smelled like mildew and tasted horrible. I emailed Sprecher about it but got no reply. Now Im afraid to buy it anymore. It had some numbers on it that could be a date? 120131138 If that's the date it was made its only 3 months old. If its an expiration date its only 3 months expired. Either way it tasted horrible.

I love Sprecher beers and most of their sodas and picked up a four pack while visiting my dad - he loves the root-beer and I really like colas- almost obsessively. This was a huge letdown. It tasted like burned plastic with a dash of puke- It seriously tasted like punishment. I thought it was rotten and tossed it and opened a second bottle- same thing. When I got home (different state) , I made a point to go to pick up a single bottle at Menard's (a hardware chain in the midwest) and it still tasted just disgusting. I have drunk dozens of different colas and have ben blown away by how far beyond coke and pepsi are (Boylan's Cola is just awesome!) but this was not a good at all.
