I have not done the amount of research that I would like to about whether the amount of mushrooms ingested in the recommended serving of this product is adequate for significantly boosting the immune system, but I will say that as a "supplementnaut" (yes I may have just coined this term)something that I really like is the fact that this company has pictures of its grow rooms on its website and is run by an expert mycologist. Sometimes I think about how it seems a little dubious that a pill I am ingesting is in fact filled with what the label claims when it would seemingly require hundreds and hundreds of acres of the crop the substance comes from to supply the amounts of material that is filling all the pills across the country. Take Milk Thistle for example. The Milk Thistle supplement is made from the seeds that comes from the flower. A Milk Thistle seed typically contains approximately 4-6% silymarin ( sylymarin is one of the active ingredients in Milk Thistle, and many pills are often standardized to 80% sylmarin) and as such would require incredibly vast fields of Milk Thistle to produce the amount of seeds to produce what is currently on the market... I will admit that I do not know enough about how the labs make our supplements, but I would really like to see much more transparency and education on the plant sources and manufacturing process of supplements. All that being said, this factor again is one of the reasons why I like this product because of what information is available online about the company. As far as how it functioned, I will also say that I have not been sick in quite a while and managed to avoid getting sick when several of my co-workers got really sick recently. I have also been working as cashier lately and handle tons of cash and also eat at a cafeteria most days at work, both of which I would assume raise my risks of contracting a pathogen. But no sickness! So maybe this product does work! I bought a second bottle recently. Might as well go for optimal health!
