Very comfortable boots. They are lighter than most.

I am a woman who rucks in boots alot and am happy to find a pair of boots that have great grip, ankle support, and some thicknes/height off the ground.

As a customer ordering online (I'm Singaporean), my first fear was purchasing the wrong size. Thanks to the community in the reviews section, I nailed my sizing first time. 1. If you're wearing normal socks, and you are a US 10, buy these in 10.5. 2. I rock thicker merino wool socks. 10.5 will be snug. 11 was just right for me. You can always tighten your laces. But you cant magically expand your shoe overnight, so take note. Wrt wide vs regular, I cant really comment. Wide fits perfect for me, with a little bit of wiggle room for my toes. Outsoles were extremely grippy and felt like they have a slight bounce to it. You will notice it when you start to jog on your rucks. Overall, these boots are the most comfortable I have ever worn. I was in the military for a few years and every boot I owned then felt like they were trying to give me a hard time on purpose. These Garmont NFS boots were designed to SUPPORT me, which I appreciate. Upon receipt yesterday, i brought it for a 6km fast ruck with 45lb load and it was a dream. I bought insoles to use with these boots, but realised I didn't need them at all. Garmont NFSes come with orthotic insoles. Boots felt like they were carefully designed and built with the end user in mind, with only the best quality materials. It's a shame we dont find boots like this in our domestic market. There's only 1 regret I have: not discovering this sooner.

I work as a Land Surveyor. Not the ones in shorts and tennis shoes, but the ones who walk several miles a day in the woods, cutting trees and climbing rocks. I go through a pair of boots every 5-6 months. I have had these for several weeks now with zero signs of wear. They took about 2 days to break in. The tread is excellent and pretty comfortable without an extra insole. Light weight. Good ankle support. Fit is pretty true to size. I wear a 10 running shoe and between 9.5-10 boots. These are 9.5. I have gone back to military boots with these, since work boots and hiking boots don't seem to hold up for me. I am giving these 5 stars right now, but may have to update in several months. So far, excellent boots. An additional kicker is that the laces have some sort of lock system on the middle loop. It holds the laces from loosening while you are tightening them and they hold throughout the day, so that my boot laces are just as tight at 4pm as they were at 7 am.

These boots have great construction. They are very light and the insole is incredibly comfortable. I assume they would hold up very well around the office and on road marches, and the occasional off road ruckmarch. However, the ankle hook eyelets with bearings severely pinched my ankles, even when adjusting the lacing to skip them, which kind of defeats the purpose. Based on their popularity it’s likely a unique situation based on my anatomy. I tried switching to the wide size, but it didn’t fix the problem. I would still rate them pretty high because I could tell they would be a fantastic boot if not for my weird feet. The toe box feels more narrow than the BIFIDA, so you might need to go with a wider size.
