I needed to extend an outdoor power cord on a pond filter so, having read many different reviews, I decided to give this Elezenioc IP68 Waterproof Junction Box a try. I'm no electrician (female in her 50s) but I managed to work it out, without instructions. The rubber bung parts are excellent and really do tighten up around the cable to make a water tight seal. The "lid" goes on well too and the little seal around the edge seems like it's up to the job too. My only gripe is the little white connector inside. It was very fiddly and, in the end, I ended up pulling both ends of cable right out through the box, wiring into the connector then carefully pulling the connected wires back down into the box. I'm sure the "clip lock" type fixings available on connectors would have made this a much easier task. But.... that said.... it's done, it works perfectly and my pond pump is working perfectly. I think, if I ever had to use a similar product again, that I'd look for one with an easier clip type connector method, simply for ease of use. Other than that, good item. Does it's job!

A nice little cable connection box that is waterproof (and also meant to be suitable for full immersion) & simple, if a bit fiddly for larger hands. I would recommend this product as it is very reasonable priced & suitable to be fixed on place via external lugs. As usual, the screws that fix the lid down (4 No, one in each corner) could be better quality but easily swapped out if necessary.

Very good but I wish there had been clearer instructions about how to assemble it. The first one I bought I had no idea about as I am a 78 yr old granny. I did not know that the white plastic ring was to insulate it from water and discarded it! I realized my mistake when it fused the electricity but by then it was too late. The second one I bought has been working perfectly. I am still trying to do this last one, ( I need two in my pond), as with the arthritis in my fingers I find it very tricky and frustrating so just do a little bit each day. However once done properly they are brilliant.

I bought this to connect two outdoor security lights. It's just what you need, easy to use with a screwdriver and can be used outdoors with its IP rating. I would recommend this item.

I found that outside security lights now seem to come with a cable that is already secured to the light and require a junction box to connect to the mains power supply. Leaving a loop of cable beneath the light and junction box ensures any drops of water collect on the cable and are less likely to find their way into the electrical connections. This junction box has a good selection of grommets and a simple connection block inside. Screwing the outside nut clamps the cables nicely. My only gripe was that the holes provided for the small screws securing the cover were too small and I had to drill them out a bit, otherwise I could not tighten the screws properly. Perhaps the manufacturer could remedy this but having got it all installed, I didn't follow up.
