Dogs still itching bad
Followed instructions to the tee. Bathed dogs prior to hanging the tags. Dogs still itching and scratching as much as before. Doesn't work on my dogs, maybe it'll work for yours.

Still found ticks biting dog...
Here are my notes:I put the new flea and tick tags on BooBoo (14 pound dog) and Gigit (34 pound dog) on 5/12/2010. Saw a flea on BooBoo on 5/17/2010. BooBoo has flea allergies so I dusted both dogs with Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) on 5/17/2010. Found a tick biting Gigit (back of neck) on 6/3/2010. Found another tick biting Gigit (ear) on 6/4/2010. Found a fat tick on the floor on 6/5/2010; must of dropped off of one of the dogs, but I don't know which one. Found a large fat tick biting Gigit (shoulder) on 6/24/2010.So does it work?Well I don't see fleas on either dog right now 6/24/2010 and only found one flea on one dog so far. But both dogs are still scratching as they were before I put the tags on. I didn't see any fleas on them before I put the tags on them, but they were scratching. I do have another dog (95 pound dog) that I didn't put the tags on and I don't see any fleas on him. I did find a few ticks on him.I live in southern Louisiana and it is hot and buggy down here. I also take my dogs for two walks a day through the fields and woods. I have a large yard that is an acre in size and hard -- too large to spray whole yard for fleas. If these tags are suppose to keep off All FLEAS and TICKS for four months, then I would have to say that they didn't work for my two dogs.Hanging the tags...The two tags came with only one small key ring type of connector, but this made the tags hang sideways and the instructions said that the tags should hang against the dog's body. So I used two larger key ring type connectors that I fit the collar through so the tags would lay against the dogs better and the tags wouldn't over lap each other as much when hung together on one connector to the collar ring.Would I purchase these tags again?I don't know yet. I will let more time pass before I decide that. The tags packaging says "Protects your dog up to 4 months".I do know that all three of my dogs had a lot of fleas last summer and Advantage Advantage Topical Flea Treatment for Dogs 21-55 Lbs (6 Applications) , Frontline, and Frontline Plus didn't keep the fleas off of any of them. I did spray my house and yard this year (in spring) with insect growth regulator(IGA) which might be the reason I don't see any fleas yet.Hopefully I will remember to return in a month or so with a farther update on this product.**** UPDATE **** 7/6/2010: I saw another flea on BooBoo on 6/27/2010 then on 6/29/2010 I saw about 4 fleas on BooBoo and she had scratched and chewed holes in herself. I also saw Gigit scratching a lot more at this time, but her fur is super thick and hard to go through to find fleas. Gigit doesn't chew herself raw even if she has many fleas like BooBoo does.So I dusted all three of my dogs again with Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE). But D.E. can take four days to kill the fleas that get the dust on them and doesn't stop an new fleas from jumping on them and biting them. So I ordered some PET HORSE & LIVESTOCK QUART - [...] from [...] produces organic pesticides that kill pests, not people and pets. I will see how this works for my dogs.Final report: I will NOT be buying the Flea Tags again.

I was happily amazed!
I bought this product out of desperation. My dog was picking up 30-50 ticks per day (seriously). I had to hand pick them off her two or three times a day. She ended up bringing them in the house and there was a terrible infestation. She is allergic to chemicals/pills so I bought these thinking it couldn't hurt to try. Within four days of using them, she was only picking up 3-5 ticks per day - a HUGE difference.I am still battling the infestation and thought that I had it licked. When her tags fell off overnight I decided not to put them back on as I was afraid they wouldn't work anyway, and I thought there was no longer a problem. WRONG! The next day she had 10 ticks on her! Every day since then she has had 5-11 ticks on her each day, coming from the house or from our walks. I no longer let her lie outside so she's not picking them up there, at least. And I am using Diatomaceous Earth on her and on the carpet, bed, couch, etc. Another good product, and very safe!Anyway, the tags have definitely proven themselves to me, and I just purchased a second set. This time I'll make sure that they stay on. I guess they don't work for all dogs, but they sure did work for mine. For the price, and they ARE guaranteed, what do you have to lose? Make sure to follow instructions EXACTLY and cut one of the tags on the dotted line so both tags have a magnetic strip facing your dog. This is extremely important.I didn't buy the tags for the fleas but a day after putting them on, the couple fleas on her that I'd been trying to catch became very sluggish and I was able to kill them. I am VERY happy with this product.UPDATE: I received my new tags and once again my dog is almost tick-free (I found one today). I don't know how these things work or why they don't work for every dog, but they have been a miracle for mine. One thing that you need to be careful about is to make sure the tags face the dog. The included ring makes the tags hang sideways if you attach it to the ring on the collar - poor engineering on their part. I added another jump ring (you can use a small key ring or if you are handy with wire, make one from 16 gauge wire. This ensures that the tags hang facing the dog's body. They should include two rings instead of one.

I would love to review this item!
This is such a great way to get off of those horrible spot on the back products that are making our animals sick and shortening their lives! The best part of course is it works!!! I don't know what people are talking about when they say they don't and give them a bad rating. You have to experiment to see how to make them work for your animal. You may have to put them on the inside of the collar if you have rambuncious animals. I do and I duct tape them on. I tear off a very thin piece and wrap it around many times to strengthen the hold. I make sure the tape does not touch the strip. The strip has to touch the animal so be sure you put it facing inward. It may take a day, it may take a week, it may take a couple weeks or even three. But you will see a difference at some point. Just be patient. And if you don't, find a different way to attach it to your animal that will work for your animal. They work you just have to play with it. I also use supplemental methods such a flea comb, nite lite with water below or an adhesive strip to catch the insects that are attracted to the lite, cedarcide spray in and out around my house, beneficial nematodes in my yard. This insures I have no problems with bugs. This year is an especially bad year for bugs so I find that more than one thing is needed to combat the bugs. I still don't need to go to chemicals this way. Even my husband noticed without even knowing when I put them on that suddenly the dogs were not itching so much, what did I do? I love this product! I highly recommend it.
