Works great. I wired it between the sensor and the ...
I used this on a 2001 jeep Cherokee with an Atlas transfer case to calibrate after a gear change to 4.88:1. I needed a 40tooth gear. I could not get the gear to fit. So I bought this. The instructions seem to be written for an automotive electrical engineer but with a little web searching I was able to get it done. Works great. I wired it between the sensor and the ECM, as the speedometer signal is fed from the ECM with a digital signal over the CCD buss. I'm using output #2 and it calibrated easily. After a little more research after the install I realize I should have used a different output but it 's working fine the way it is. Just a difference as to whether the sensor outputs a square wave signal or a sine wave signal.

and I'm pretty happy with it
Put this in a 97 Jeep after regearing and changing tire size. Speedo was about 15% off. I have the speedo hooked up now, and it is reading accurately. I dialed it in after installation and it worked for about a week and then went off about 5% and I had to readjust it. No problems sinceNot the easiest to install based on the instructions. I ended up doing some google/YouTube research and figuring it out.Compared to other options this was the cheapest, and I'm pretty happy with it.

Couldn't get it to work
Wasn't able to get it to work with my 03 Ranger, even with help from Dakota Digital.

Perfect for engine swaps
Perfectly calibrated a GM ECU speed output to a Mazda Miata speedometer. Speedometer is now more accurate than original. Verified by GPS at 20,30,40,60 and 80 MPH. Simple four wire hookup and it takes only a minute or so to calibrate.

Works well on a 98 TJ with a modified T-case output shaft
This did the trick to correct the speed signal to our 98 TJ Powertrain Control Module. The output shaft was changed to a "mega-short" shaft that eliminated the normal speedometer gear set up and replaced it with a tone ring. This unit corrected our speedometer and allows for gear or tire size changes in the future. In my case it only took four wires; power, ground, and two wires sliced into the speed sensor output wire on the transfer case

One of the few speedo solutions
Since Dakota makes one of the only recalibrators that work for my 2000 Super Duty, I was using the 5C version. Unfortunately, it would continuously drop the signal out right at 65, which means the speedo would drop down and come back. This affects the cruise control, so when I would haul our 5th wheel, which is almost always set at 65 on the freeway, the cruise would always drop out, making it very irritating to drive. I just switched to this new style, and it seems to be OK at 65, but does occasionally drop out at 55 now. It seems much less frequent, and will be better with the trailer and cruise, but it would be nice if I could have a box that was always reliable. This is a necessary evil, and I suppose I have to live with it.

Thank you!
11-8-18 . I own a 2006 Kia spectra ex. I have tried everything to troubleshoot my speedometer problem for over a year. After alot of reasearch i found that its a wierd Kia problem. Some have had the issue fixed by swaping parts from the junk yard (didnt work for me). Where other people have dropped thousands to have the dealership fix the issue.. This interface fixed my problem and saved me a ton of money. I wired it power/ground and signal in. Hi/lo out 5 straight to the stock speedometer wire. ( my car isnt equipped with cruise control).

Worth it
Adjusted the speedo signal correctly on an engine swap... what more can you ask for? Pretty easy to use.
