Overpriced for what I received.

What the hell are these rubber bands made of. Attached them in my mouth, as I would my other rubber bands (braces - ran out of my own rubber bands because of covid) and within like ten minutes they just popped out of no where. When I looked at them, the two looked like they were breaking down and like melting together..?? I know my spit isnt acid. No idea
