LG 24MP48HQ-P 24-Inch IPS Monitor with Screen Split

Great monitor for the price. Thought twice before ordering this because of negative reviews but glad I did. Good picture, and was worried because reviews stated the stand was cheap and flimsy but seems adequate for this size monitor to me. Just make sure you get speakers as this monitor does not have any.

This monitor, although advertised as "used" by Amazon, came packaged as if it were brand new along with a warranty card and all the cellophane. There was no discernable difference between this monitor and those at Best Buy on display. In fact, once my neighbor saw mine, he went to Best Buy and purchased a brand new one for himself, but there is no difference in the quality of display. I have a series of high quality photos as a screen saver and simply sat back and watched the show. As a visually impaired user, this monitor fits the bill perfectly: not so large that it overwhelms, but large enough to watch movies comfortably. I am hopeful that it will run this way for years to come.

Easy to install and set up. For the money you get a good quality image. No issues from the seller. Arrived on time with everything describe. Just to note, I did not buy these for gaming. I am using two of these for a business work station. they will run MS Office, windows, scanning etc. If i was going to get a gaming monitor I would look something that supports 4k. I am very pleased with my two monitors.

Setup was easy, fit in a small space well, you will have to download the split screen driver from their website to get all the onscreen settings to works, after that everything is good. After the download it automatically reset my resolution, picture is sharp and color is good. I would recommend.

Monitor is very nice and colors pop out with the IPS panel. This is one of the least expensive 27" IPS monitors on the market, and we are very happy with it. One of the cons that almost made me rate it less than 5 stars is that there is NO HDMI cable included. So if anyone buys this monitor, be sure to buy an HDMI (or HDMI to DVI) cable to get the most out of it instead of using the included VGA cable.

A 24in.....LG.....For the price.....AWESOME!!!!!!! The monitor's display quality is great. I own a 21in LG monitor already and it's great, so I was leaning towards LG anyway. I was almost swayed by the trivial (to me anyway) negative remarks BUT I am glad I was NOT swayed because I am COMPLETELY satisfied with this purchase. I decided it was time to replace a couple years old Acer monitor because its display became much dimmer than it was when it was new and it was at its 'brightness' max (so I decided to go with LG brand again). I have no complaints because (again) for the price it's an AWESOME buy for a 24in monitor!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, this is a great monitor, but I bought it from Amazon Warehouse as an "open box" deal because I wanted to be a cheap bozo and save 20 bucks. Well, I should have bought it new, because the HDMI input for the monitor doesn't work. The max resolution it goes is 1024 x 768, and I simply could not get it to go higher. VGA works fine, but the quality certainly lacks. Trust me, I'm in IT and I posted on Toms hardware... we literally tried everything to get this dang thing to work with HDMI but it did not. I highly suggest you buy this thing new instead of what I did, because now it would be way more trouble to return this used monitor over the HDMI thing.

So far so good but there is the previously mentioned 1/4" border around the perimeter of the screen. I played with all of the menu items and tried to find help online but couldn't get any. It's so small compared to the screen that it just blends in with the border and compared to the 23" I had it's plenty of extra space for me. There was an instance of flickering the other day (as if the refresh rate was lowered to 40 etc) after two months of use and I thought maybe I had a bad cable or graphics card but when I move it to the other dvi port it still did it. The cable is an Amazon basics and I had no other dvi/hdmi cable to compare before it resolved itself. Within an hour it seemed to fade away so I'm just glad I bought the extended warranty.

I extensively research everything before I buy it, and this monitor was no exception. I read literally hundreds of reviews, watch everything related to my area of interest on Youtube, and, in this case, studied numerous sources in the electronics field. This monitor is crystal clear and produces superb images in HD 1080p. When watching 4K videos the color and clarity are stunning. One negative I read regarded the flimsy nature of the stand and its inability to be heightened or lowered. Neither is an issue for me, as the set height is perfect and I find the monitor perfectly stable. It rocks slightly when you turn it on and off, but that is negligible and would require a true stickler to even note it. The text is clear and there are reading modes available on the easy-to-use menu, a menu mastered even by me, someone still trying to figure out how to set the time on the VCR. My one criticism actually has nothing to do with the monitor itself, but I would be remiss in not mentioning it. When I purchased the monitor, the seller boldly proclaimed that I would receive it by Wednesday. Guaranteed! The product arrived Thursday because of bad weather and shipping problems with the carrier. Obviously not a fault of the seller, but because of such variances, one, I think, should not use the word - Guaranteed - lightly. Perhaps an unkind reflection on my dull life, but the fact is I waited at home all day Wednesday for the delivery truck and will not soon forget my aggravation at not seeing said guaranteed delivery truck pulling up to the curb. That annoyance aside, I love this monitor and use it hours every day.

Super monitor, nunca habia usado un IPS y el cambio si es bastante en cuanto ala calidad de imagen. El onscreen control es muy útil, el seccionamiento de la pantalla era mi principal requerimiento y superó las expectativas. No se puede ajustar en cuanto a la altura o inclinación. No me afecta, pero es algo que muchas veces ayuda.
