Pro's:Covers your synthetic rope end to protect from crap and UV,Rubber surfaces where it will sit against your hawse.Heavy dutyNicely finished.Cons:Opening could be wider to allow tree savers to sit flat on pin.Does not come with a retaining wire for the pin, you loose that pin and you now have a paperweight.

A great functional, practical and cosmetic addition
I purchased this WARN Epic Sidewinder primarily to keep my winch rope tight and unexposed. With the winch hidden in the bumper the synthetic rope stays out of the sun, except for the lead. This shackle has rubber feet on the backside that snug up against the hawse fairlead, while hiding the entirety of the synthetic rope. The shackle is well built and looks great. It was easy to install with a pair of snap ring pliers, took all of 5 minutes. Plus, it looks much neater than a rope stretched over to a tow hook. I am very happy with this purchase.

Very nice.
I recently purchased a warn winch for my Jeep and wanted a captive system for it. I picked this one because it’s a warn. It was super easy to install and less expensive than some of the other ones.I used it last weekend to pull some bushes and stumps out with a choker and it was plenty durable.
