Bought a 2 pack both batteries dead after about 4 uses
***Update 5/27/24***Even WORSE than I thought, changing from 3 to 1 star rating (Zero if I could)Now BOTH batteries, which were purchased February of this year, are DEAD after a total of about 4 uses each. In addition to this now they will not charge easily. When they DO "charge" it seems like it is a false charge because it burns out after only a few minutes of usageI see some people say they were able to return there batteries after what seems like more than 30 days so what is the story seller? Why were we denied returning/exchanging ours for FUNCTIONAL batteries? These 40V batteries are being used on a Greenworks 40V mower*Original Review*One of the batteries out of the 2 pack has a short in it. It will not charge properly and it will not let the mower run normal, it shuts off after a few seconds. The problem I have it that it only has a 30 day return policy and it has been about 55 days since I bought it. These batteries are a little expensive to only get 2 uses out of it.

May be a good value
When this battery was received, two of the four charge indicator were green. Put the battery in Greenworks charger, plugged charger in, and a short time latter charging indicator was flashing Red. Left it on and many hours later checked charge indicator and only two were still green. Unplugged charger and removed battery. The next day installed battery in charger and plugged charger in again. Some time later checked and Red charging lamp flashing and only two green charge status lamps on. Unplugged charger , removed battery from charger. Decided to look at charger manual. The manual stated that the flashing Red charge indicator, indicated a “bad” battery. Unplugged charger, removed battery and decided to try a few things. First, put battery in a tool, and operated the tools two short times. Tool operated correctly. Next tried charging the battery, this time plugged the charger in first and then installed battery (an option suggested in charger manual), this time the Red charging indicator did not flash, but remained solidly On. Some time later checked the battery status an all four battery status indicator were Green, charging Red indicator was still solid Red. A short time later the charging indicator turned Green. Unplugged charger, removed battery and plugged battery into a tool, tool operated . At this point in time I assume the battery will be fine. The next step will be to use a tool to run the battery down some and the verify that it can be charged properly. It is my plan to do this before the return window closes. At this point I expect everything will be fine. Will edit this post if that is not the case.Update: After posting this, I used the battery extensively in a tool and it performed well. After having run it down significantly, Placed it in charger and plugged charger in, sure enough Red charging light was flashing. Unplugged charger, removed battery, plugged charger in, installed battery and it charged properly. My conclusion, plug in charger then insert battery into charger.

Stopped charging after only 5 uses (obtained warranty service)
I bought this battery in July. It worked ok for a few months and was charged about 5 times since I do not do yardwork as frequently as I should. Then in November, it refused to charge: the charger blinked red and then turned solid red, and the battery was not charged after a few hours. I wrote to customer support and got in a response yet.Update: The seller sent a replacement battery after verifying the serial number of the battery. I have therefore changed the rating from 1 to 4.

Same Power as the Original Equipment (6AmpHrs)
Time will confirm, but I've used this aftermarket battery four times and it provides me with double the cutting time (2×6AmpHrs). Enough to finish the front lawn, with lots of maneuvering around my wifes flower beds, walk paths, a large gazebo and fully fenced boundaries. It charges fast, in fact it pretty much duplicates the OEM battery (for less money). Will it have a similar life span, believe me, I'll assuredly report back if it falls short. For now, I give it 5 stars.☆☆☆☆ After two seasons, this battery is a good value and well worth the price. It's a bit bulky and hard for me (an old man) to remove from the mower, but I manage and I saved money. I would buy another.

does a good job
This battery does a good job (actually a somewhat longer usage time than the original Greenworks battery that came with my mower). It does fit in rather snugly; it takes a fair bit of pressure to pop it out of the mower. But I am ok with that - small trade-off for a better, cheaper battery.

A Lemon replacement - BE WARNED!
I purchased this just as mowing season ended here in SoCal, so I never had a chance to use it before the warranty ran out, but hopefully I can save some other folks a headache and wasted money. First of all, I had difficulty getting it to mate with my factory charger, but finally was able to jiggle it to get it charging, then left it on the charger for a month. When I checked it, only two of four LEDs were lit, so I took it off and let it sit, then put it back on the night before my first mowing session of the new season. Still only two LEDs lit, and when I put it to work it lasted less than 25 feet before dying. I'm out $60 bucks, don't make the same mistake!

It works
After trying another similar “cheap” battery (which actually cost more than this one) and having to return it, I thought I’d give this one a shot. First, it’s only being used in an older greenworks 19” mower. Secondly, it’s being used in southeast Texas while we’ve been in this heat dome lately. Even in the extreme heat, the battery has worked great. Granted, it’s only been about 5 uses so far. But so far so good. I’ve been getting about 45 minutes of use out of it before needing a recharge. And recharging doesn’t take that long. Maybe an hour or so. As of now, I’m pleased and would purchase again.
